This sounds like a really interesting build. Current PS4 season I've run a Carthean Crimson Path build throughout. Bc of that I was kinda thinking of running a ranged build next season, but i do like the synergies in this build and the seasonal thunderbolt does look pretty powerful; i have the benefit of waiting to see what the PC players come up with otherwise but I'm strongly considering this build or a variation on it. Yo, SICK! If you need a cabal, look up "FunnyCabal" you get a few bonuses for being in a high level cabal like extra stuff at the vendors I think you'll really like this game.

Sorry to disturb but you say you start with the movement passives in the skilltree, for some reason I can only allocate my first skill point into Ranged Combat, Area Effects, Critical Hits and Defense. How Can I put points into Movement first?

Oh lol I just realized I need to be lvl 13 to unlock movement. Should I save my skillpoints untill then or put them elsewhere?

I would suggest putting into the AOE tree first then. Once you get 13 on one character, you unlock this skill tree for all future characters no matter the level

subclass only affects your starting gear, so pick which one sounds cool to you! all assassins have access to all assassin gear

@@TheAethelwulf1972 crusader is the easiest to understand and arguably the most powerful when it comes to mixing offense and defense. Psyker was nerfed this patch to in my opinion an unplayable state, I hope to start a psyker next season when things are different. Assassin is personally my favourite class, I like the speed she can get

I like the build idea especially since I was planning on running an assassin for this season. Maybe you could help me out with a question though. I tend to struggle in the 'midgame', particularly with the sin, at around the level 50-60 mark. The squishyness of the assassin seems to cause a lot of problems at that point. I find it is too difficult to run crusades, which cuts me out of the archeotech loop, which makes levelling a real struggle. Do you just run intels? How do you get the gear then? Do you spend Machine God Sparks and the like while levelling to craft items and re-roll enchants or save them to level 80+?

I find most of my assassin builds have to get near capped dodge and something else like reduction or leech to feel survivable. The biggest thing that gives you power is psalm codes, usually my first goal is to get one or two cheap damaging ones. But yeah my process is usually campaign until chapter 3, normal tarot missions, intels, then void crusades when I'm strong enough

So you really only take 3 points in the melee tree wouldn't it be good to max this tree for all the extra damage your getting there or no? I'm really trying to build around a shock/ heat melee weapon and this build looks awesome was wondering about that specific thing.

It's been a while but I'm sure there were a lot of other good options for our points, regarding offense and defense. feel free to try things out, but i think the melee tree is one of the weaker trees for most melee builds, (same goes with the ranged tree), it seems much more efficient to scale heat/physical/crits/aoe/defence/whatever

@@MatHEWStorm ah ok. Well I've got a ranged assassin that's built into physical damage with a grav gun as my main. Should I dump the ranged tree and throw my points into heat and have a melt gun in 2nd? I have the physical and crit tree maxed some into def atm as well. Both of my chars are only in their 60s so I don't have access to full skill points just yet. My only issue with my assassin melee assassin is squishyness. I have a decent relic 2 hander but it's level 30 so I'm over it my 31 it have had zero luck finding one my level. My ranged assassin does super good damage but if I get close I'm getting hosed. Both the ranged and melee tree look good on paper which is why I was confused. Thank you!

Yeah its a fresh restart for everyone, but everything gets transferred over to the main game at the end, so you get to keep all your characters and items

I'm newbie playing this build, when I doing hard mission, a lot of time I run into mob I got suppressed and hard CC coming so I die. How do you deal with suppression empty?

I have a red module on my inoculator to restore suppression on use. Its really important to roll the secondary enchant "chance to reset inoculator cooldown on kill" also, the seasonal relic inoculator has "chance to be used for free when thunderbolt of authority hits" so i randomly regain suppression from that

What about a 6-slot "+200% damage to shocked targets" doctrine instead of that 150% to AoE one?

that would work but it won't affect bosses or any enemy we cant get into yellow suppression. This season adds that new alpha legion tier 3 megaboss who has a massive amount of suppression, I wanted to kill him fast :D also it frees up space for 2 shards that make us cast thunderbolt more often

Noob but ARPG vet last played this game before at release, thanks for the build you seem to be the only one who has produced a build for season start. I have a feeling there will be a lot of noobs this season, while they wait for D3 season, POE, D2 Resurrected etc. What about a new series aimed at noobs?

I just bought the complete collection from Playstation and at the time of this post I have a level 11 Tech-Adept. I checked the website road map and it said console season is TBA. How far behind is console normally? I don't want to spend too much time on this character if the new season is a week away. I like your guides, this games seems a bit overwhelming atm.

Having lots of fun using this build as my first character coming back to the game, I useto be exclusively a Crusader player. The only problems I'm having at lvl 70 is keeping my suppression up and not getting stunned all the time, especially against the big boi at the end of the Void Brethren missions, any tips or am I possibly missing something?

@@MatHEWStorm Ah okay, I have a Generators Redeem and I very rarely see it activate for free and it's never when I need it. I'll try using the suppression one on it instead of healing as I have %15 life steel on my Blade of Merciless. I have %15.3 chance to reset innoc on cooldown so it's basically always up.

how would you level this build?

grab a purple arc sword as soon as you can and then hunt for a relic that you can reroll into "10th enemy explodes on kill", then you'll smash through missions really quick. The arc sword is a really good leveling weapon, I used it to level my needler assassin build!
