you should always carry a bit of long wire with u that fits up ur impella output to try nuclear it out .. unless jts actually wrapped around blocking e paddle wheel then u ot a problem

Nice episode, Pete. When sleeping on the boat, you want heaps of heavy chain out. You could probably get away with 4 or 5m of 8mm chain rope that is 3-5 x the depth you’re in and you won’t go anywhere. We anchored a 60 footer at Dirk Hartog 20 odd years back and with 2x 20kg anchors, each with 10m of chain, we still dragged so got 2 hourly anchor watch overnight just to make sure we didn’t end up on the rocks. Wasn’t fun. Also, may be worthwhile considering a smaller and lighter anchor for your stern. Your boat could get away with a 3lb anchor with 20m of 8mm silver rope so you can anchor parallel to the beach in deeper waters but have your stern anchor on the beach at right angles to the boat so you can easily pull yourself in if you need to get on and off. Keeps the boat off the beach and keeps the nurries a bit drier.
