These questions....they're pretty standard but I never understood why they're standard. How would I know where I would be 10 years from now? Who can plan for that

as an international student studying in one of Japan’s university, we sometimes get that kind of questions from our teachers. It sounds like a really simple question, but it’s really hard to answer for some of us, including me.

@@YTReturnz two years ago I was going through all kinds of interviews and any time I got that questions I just couldn't figure out what to say. I'm in my 20s. I'm supposed to know where I see myself 10 years from now? How? It's so vague and such a broad question... Although I find it interesting that teachers would ask that in Japan. Sounds like a good thing to ask students, even if there's no deeper meaning behind it
