More than a year later and I still am benefitting from the experience. It's different from ayahuasca and mushrooms in many ways, similar in others. Plusses: connection with nature, particularly the "spirits" of the mountains, which spoke to me, not just from the Andes, but from the Himalayas and Sierra Nevadas of California. There was also an emotional openness and receptivity to feelings that has, in some ways, persisted. The specifics of the experience are too personal to share, except to say that they are significant enough to maintain their influence on me all this time later. Downsides: it lasted 12+ hours, even after I got back to my friends' house and ate dinner. The next day I was totally wiped out and more or less glued to the toilet as well (which lasted, in varying degrees of intensity, for about a week). The intensity was low compared to mushrooms, and the long duration of the journey felt a lot like the comedown phase of a mushroom trip, except it lasted forever, with waves of intensity bringing me back in and then out again. I don't think I would do this again, due to the stomach issues and the fact that after 5-6 hours I was ready for it to be over. But I'm glad I did it.

Thank you so much for capturing this! I'm about to do wachuma for my second time and this was helpful. I'm also in Peru. And I liek the slow nature of the video, it's fitting.

They don't even know that the Saint Peter ceremony is not just one but several. You just want to hallucinate because other drugs no longer have an effect on you.
