She can't leave her room, and no one can come into her room without a strong reason. Because her immune system is not working and it will be a huge risk for her to catch a virus or infection. She has to be permanently connected to medical devices or IV. This is one of her reasons to using a model, she just don't want to people see her condition. While she was more healthy in her school, he studied opera singing and wants to be a singer. Vtubing gave her this opportunity. As well as friends and socialization.

It really depends on the vtuber and many of the cringe moments are actually running gags that they do on purpose to get a kick out of it.
