Long overdue. That "spaghetti factory" connection setup on the Cintique pro 13" was enough to never bother using it in a mobile situation.

As someone who owns a cintiq pro 27,(amd loves it) I can’t see how this product can compete against an iPad Pro. You can wirelessly connect to your Mac or use the iPad standalone. It’s much more flexible than the movink.

As a fellow Cintiq Pro 27 and iPad Pro user, the current Apple Pencil for iPad Pros is not comparable to the Wacom Pro Pen 3 for creative use cases. The new Apple Pencil rumored to be revealed in the next few days needs to DRASTICALLY improve its pressure sensitivity capabilities at minimum; it would also be in Apple's best interest to have that same pencil have features like their pods to be easily findable as well as impossible-to-copy features such as usable with the Apple Vision Pro (Apple Pencil Pro for those that don't want to pay extra for that)?

1080p full HD resolution, no refresh rate info mentioned on the website, included pen can do 8000-something pressure levels, but the tablet is also compatible with all Galaxy/Remarkable/Wacom One -compatible EMR pens which cap pressure levels at 4000-something. Stand and case are sold seperately, and if you want to use the fancy pro pen 3 grips or weights, you'll have to buy a separate one for over $100. I think the color accuracy may be good, but this is more so a glorified Wacom One than it is a professional-grade tablet. What professional artist could get any work done in 1080p?

Why would would anyone that has a Mac get this? They can get an iPad Pro for just a bit more that is infinitely more capable with Sidecar and it doesn't require their macbook if they want to work away from their Mac. For $750 all you are getting is a pen that is a tiny bit better and a more matte screen. News flash I can get a matte screen protector and my ipad feels almost as good. This is coming from someone with a 24" cintiq pro. Maybe if this was minimum 16" and 4K but its literally 1080p. Your days of charging crazy money for old technology are numbered wacom.

The current Apple Pencil is not competitive with the Pro Pen 3 and has limited functionality with Windows (and Chrome OS) as an M1+ iPad Pro user who needs to use my high-end RTX cards on Windows with a tablet when I’m not using my Mac Pro or Macbook Pro. 🙂

@@lilkwarrior5561I would beg to differ. The Apple Pencil may not be quite as sensitive as the Pro Pen 3 but it’s damn close. I paint,texture, and sculpt using my Apple Pencil and it’s more than enough for that. Especially with the iPad Pros from last year that have hover support. As for functionality with buttons etc, that’s what hotkeys or hotkey controllers are for. Now needing to use an RTX card on windows is a different story I will grant you that. The reason I bring up the iPad and the MacBook is due to the laptop in the video….its a MacBook and there is no reason to be buying a Wacom this size for a MacBook unless it’s a bigger form factor than the iPad Pro is my point. Again if you are using this with a windows RTX machine that’s a different story.

I'm looking forward to the Wacom Movink Pro SKU with hopefully 218 PPI, Dolby Vision+HLG HDR support, and a 120hz refresh rate. I'm very surprised they went ahead and made this initial version have 1080p resolution. That's a random resolution to settle with for creative professionals in 2024; ~165 PPI for a professional portable device is a bizarre limitation by Wacom.

Ohh with OLED? How do you handle screen burn in when you have the same still colors on screen for hours when workning on ANY software? Cause the reason there no OLED drawing tablets is for that very issue. 8 hours on photoshop/CSP a day and in less than 6 months you'll have your share of dead pixels? Did you find a workaround for this or is within expectations that costumers will have to get a new one in one year Apple style?

Edit: actually you may be right. I guess depends on the quality? The Nintendo switches OLED is probably way cheaper and isn't that bad regarding burn in. ( realistically wacom is probably overcharging for their OLED too)

€849 for a 13 inch pen display without a stand? No, thanks. For that price, I can buy a Samsung Galaxy Tab s9 fe+ or 3x a 13 inch pen displays from the competition and still have money left over. Sure, they maybe heavier, but I'll take that for granted when I pay 1/3 of the price.
