The lack of long routes is directly related to the o-line! The reason we lack a long game is because there is no confidence the line can hold for more than 2.5 seconds. No shit theres no long game. Fix and have confidence in the line, you'll see more long balls called. It'll come if the line starts to gel and work

Great point. Do we really think Waldron doesn't know DJ is great downfield? We have to give some credit to Waldron and that he has a bigger perspective than some think he does

I’m curious how can you throw downfield when the line can’t hold a pocket . Are they not making the plays based off the confidence they clearly do not have in the line to hold a pocket for more than two seconds? is that not the obvious reason why any smart play would not design a pass for more than three seconds to develop?

I remember when the Bears were looking for their next OC, the reports from the Seahawks media and shows did mention the flaws that were seeing now. But almost everybody was enamored with "he turned Geno Smith's career around" and "he's from the McVays coaching tree". Well, Geno seems to be doing ok without him, and not everybody that coached under McVay/Shanahan can coach. Does anybody remember Getsy? The HC has a lot of input on who to hire and Flus is a bigger suspect on that department than being a "good" HC. Not to take away from Flus's ability to coach the defense but- as a HC? I believe Poles was forced to hire him, because I remember Flus got interviewed by Ted and George before Poles was hired. This team will be forced to look for a new coaching staff if they only win 7 games or under.

How Waldron gets DJ the ball is screens. The first 3 weeks he would rather try to scheme up Everette or something stupid. Where are the mesh plays with Rome or DJ streaking across the middle of the field wide open with room to run. It’s quick game and screens mainly, I guess that’s to help this bad offensive line. But then again they can’t block the screen correctly.

Williams is playing like Justin Fields use to play for the Bears. Conservative. Last year, Flus told Fields to play conservatively to protect the ball. Williams is now playing that way.

But when Calib lets it go, He seems to rush the throw, But he didn't need too. And its Uncatchable.

Williams is 3/23 with 3 interceptions on passes over 20 yards. Whatever the reason, that's unacceptable and probably part of the reason Moore isn't downfield more.

This is what happens when you don't do your homework. I must've watched more tape of the Seahawks by simply having KWIII on my fantasy team. Shame on Poles and Eberflus for hiring this guy. Also, what's Claypool doing nowadays? Yet another example of the GM and coach not doing the necessary research.

I’m still high on Caleb but he missed throws at the end of the 1st half to dj where I was like where is he throwing that it’s not even close and Iya starting to creep in my head now that maybe we missed out on Jaden Daniel’s he looks amazing so far still rooting for Caleb and praying the bears didn’t get it wrong
