In the 60s gas stations were full service. In 1964 unpaid $.25.9 a gallon for gas. They washed windows and lights, checked the tire pressure and fluid levels. My MIL bought us muslin full-size sheets with green stamps for a wedding present. That was despite us telling her we were putting our twin beds together to make a king size bed. Wade said that the women showed great interest the last time they sold some. It's cuz it's getting harder to get them from the store. I heard on the news the other night that we will be having shortages at the stores for products in glass jars as because the things needed to make the glass is harder to get. Now I know why the Mason jars have been in short supply. That and the fact that more people have been canning their own produce since the virus and the word got about the impending recession.
