WADSN Airsoft PERST-4 Red/IR Laser, Review

Hey everybody welcome back to another episode of Muddy Reviews, in this video, we are checking out the WADSN Airsoft PERST-4 Red/IR laser device. This is a very nice reproduction of the Russian Zenitco PEQ.
I have this PERST-4 on loan from a good friend and was really excited to get the chance to review this for the channel. The WADSN PERST-4 has been a widely requested piece of kit for review and I have been wanting to pick one up for some time. I know he purchased this off of ALIEXPRESS and is the same place I was going to buy my PERST-4 from.

As well as on Aliexpress, The Aliexpress WADSN PERST-4s I found were as low as 80$ USD and are the same all-metal version I reviewed. There is also a Polymer version out there that retails for a little less but for my money, I highly recommend the All metal version. I would have liked to have had access to the original packaging as paperwork but I was able to figure it out. In this video, I wasn't sure if it was IR as well but it absolutely is. Im couldn't see the IR admitter in the camera while filming because of the tinted glass but while my wife was editing she pointed out you can see the IR going on and off.
This is a fantastic addition to any AK build as it just looks the part and is fantastic. I am absolutely going to be getting one for my Arcturus AK105 build now. Better late than never I guess LOL. Yeah I wanted to get one awhile back but it wasn't in the cards. But I finally got one in my hands and I an impressed. Now I need to get one of my own.

I’m looking at one now it’s either this one, the mawl, or the ngal..? I have a somo gear peq15 and honestly it’s brighter than the Steiner dbal I have! The ir laser is bright it’s super durable.

I wonder if the WASDN PEQ-15 is also as good as this PERST-4, I happen to see this PERST-4 popping up on my results online when looking for laser pointers as well. And I’m glad you managed to give Brass Facts a nice mention for the Somogear PEQ-15, as that one caught my eye and pretty much solidified my thoughts and need for slapping it either on Airsoft or even on a real rifle. I might as well share some thoughts online, make a video about it as well if I managed to grab one someday. Though this PERST-4 did impress me a bit, unfortunately I’m not a fan of the unit itself, as I do prefer the AN/PEQ-15 ATPIAL one more honestly, just by how more feature-driven it is, as well as it being more commonplace too. Only thing I’m not sure about the Somogear PEQ is, if it’s compatible with a genuine Surefire pressure pad, but I can at least make do with a replica one. As for the lasers being more common, it’ll be inconsiderate of anyone to literally destroy someone’s eyes just by shining a laser on them, but using them for what they’re really made for, i.e target acquisition under IR, or target designation for certain people you’re with, or for having the cats something to play and chase with.

No, so far only somoger and FMA have released proper IR illuminator/designator PEQ-15 clones. Most of the clones have a fake white flashlight in place of where the real IR illum would be. And FMA doesn't help by having both a flashlight verison and real IR illum version under a similar naming scheme

@@han6211 i have the Ngal from wadsn and also got their new OGL clone this morning both have IR laser and the Dbal from wadsn came with an IR ilum filter, screwing the cap off the illum u can remove the clear piece and put the ir in

I’m building a cheap rifle short mid range sniper rifle with not capability very trying to do it as budget as possible so I got some team not vision goggles and one of these lasers and put it on an old Sks I realize Sks is are actually going up in price rapidly But I really don’t care. I’m just going to pretty much destroy this one by spray painting it and personalizing it to my own ability to myself without changing out the stock. I just want old rugged rifle that’s cheap because the last said I had was pretty set up, got stolen from me, so trying to avoid having that from happening at the moment until I can get them back, but if it turns out to be a really nice set up, I mean you can’t beat that short to mid rain sniper rifle with nighttime capabilities for under 700 bucks if you know how to build a Russian rifle in this case it’s Chinese but still just put as side amount, scope, blocking, the AK-47 And I slapped a bush nail on it kinda got a little bite with the laser but my batteries went dead trying to work these two red and the my lasers green trying to work them in together on target has been kinda tricky if I figure it out, I may make a video. I’ve never made a KZbin video, but I might make one to show off the Sks with our parts to show that they do work just because they’re made in China. Don’t mean much everything we have is made in China. No I wouldn’t trust their helmets or plate carriers but surely they can make a laser that can hold, zero and etc. etc..

Ass to mouth, yes 100%. And we all know we aren't discovering ew territory but it is nice when she lies and we can feel like Marco fucking Polo every so often. It is the illusion that counts LOL.

It is inferred you have to have your own illuminator I’m having trouble getting my two dots lineup together though I do believe the middle switch is off. I’m trying to figure that one out myself still, here is his Maida tad different than mine. I have three prongs, and no Top button.hm

Really dumb question but would you use airsoft lazers and flashlights on your real rifles I know dumb question but im thinking about it to use on mine

Not a dumb question at all. The majority of PEQs I wouldn't use. Lights that is different and I would use most of my repro Surefires on a real rifle.

@@Muddy_Reviews i very hesitantly bought one a couple hours ago, here in the Netherlands on skirmshop it goes for about €185 so for sure the most “premium” priced laser replica i got, unfortunately they only sold it in red laser but i already have 2 green lasers so i dont mind the change, will update tomorrow when i receive it

@justaregularguy3827 not holding my breath on it holding up.yo .308 recoil, but I have been surprised before. The Somo Gear PEQ 15s come to mind. Brass Facts did a pretty good video on those and usage on a real AR.

The sotac perst 4 when potted and the right 308 setup will hold zero on a 308
