Not only is this movie so good - but it's one of these movies that just feel "pure" in a way - it's just thoroughly accomplished; it entertains every moment of the way, every spoken like carries something - and whenever you think you cannot be more out of breath, it just cranks it up a little bit more!

@@wadumin And yes, Mad Max Fury Road is the *fourth* Mad Max film by the same director - the first film is entirely about the man called Max, and how he essentially becomes "mad" - it is very different from this film, but very interesting by itself. Mad Max 2; Road Warrior is one of the most influential post apocallyptic films ever made, the video game Fallout has tons of inspiration for it - and by the time of Fury Road, Max has become almost a legend - a wandering entity - as he comes into the film, a mysterious being, and then simply leaves, when he has served his purpose.

This is one of my favorite movies. I could watch Tom Hardy breathing and reading from a telephone book, but he's so intense that he left Charlize Theron with PTSD. They did not get along. George Miller is a genius and an artist. The second Mad Max movie, the Road Warrior, is also a great movie.

Hello !!! I grew up with the original Mad Max trilogy... The 3rd was one too many. I expected NOTHING from "Fury Road"... Even if I didn't find the "magic" of Mel Gibson "Mad Max", it's an extreme visual experience, where it's hard to catch your breath because the action is so intense and totally insane.. FANTASTIC Thank you for this reaction and your work

its made by the Original director of the first seris of films, he was 70 something when he made this, the originals are lower budget but good I especially love the second, the Director has said that beyond the first movie establishing how Max started to wander the wasteland, the other movies are "stories" told in the wasteland about a legendary hero named Max who helped a lot of people, so they arn't meant to be perfect a direct continuity of storyline that link the movies, each is "separate" in their own way.

There is a lot of VFX in this movie, but not in the way you think. - There is a lot of crane and wirework removal. That's obvious, a lot of stuns are just wirework. - There is a lot of composition. Although the car accidents and explosions are real, if there was a minimum of risk, they fil the scenes separetly, and then combine them togheter. For example, when the big truck of the fat guy exploded, that was film alone, without any other car, the other cars where filmed separatedly, so they can ensure the safety of the whole crew (there was a lot of respect for the stun team security). - There is more composition: Whenever a guy is show falling on the road or below a vehicle, that guy is filmed in a green room doing their stun safetly, and then composed in to the scene. - There is EVEN MORE COMPOSITION. Not only the color of all the movie is retoched, but ALL THE SKY was removed and manually re-composite, in order to ensure continuity bewten the scenes. - The vehicles are "real", but the engines no. The engines you see are just for show, the real engine aren't visibles. - There are some CGI, when they need to add some pieces of the vehicles falling, some gore or blood splats, etc. There are several videos for the VFX of this movie, there are very good and show how you properly do realistic and safe stuns. Totally recommended.

Also, the thing you think you missed, is made that way. You don't need to watch the old MAD MAX movies. You'll maybe get some context to Max character, but nothing really relevant to enjoy full this movie, all you need to know they tell you at the begining and trust me, is better that way, it makes your imagination wonder.

Best sequels of all time All the Mad Max films in the saga are stories of their own. Everything, every car, and everyone in Fury Road had a backstory.. Director George Miller AND George Lucas were inspired heavily by the Author Joseph Campbell's books.. Furiosa (2024 ) will be a very different story from Fury Road, explaining the best Action/ Adventure film of all time , Fury Road... Furiosa is definitely not gonna be MMEDIOCRE 🎬👍🙃
