I wish he could see further videos. We recently took a trip back to Germany and he passed away in his sleep on the first night. I figured he was at peace being home.

That is correct, fieldgraves were sometimes marked with a helmet. This was just a single helmet on the bottom of a foxhole.

Omg. What a special find regarding that SS buckle. Too beautiful and in perfect condition. Bless the soldier who wore that and may all their brave Souls RIP. Salute and Respect. You are not forgotten. It pains to think how they died suffering, alone and in pain away from their parents, family, wives. Truly war was so sad and traumatic
