I love watching people dig up history. Im a huge history buff, especially about WWII so the fact that someone can hold history is amazing, its so cool. I loved the use of photos to show its use and confirm what it is.

As a Jew, I sometimes had dreams about the nazis and being a kind of partisan in northern Europe, and that gear showed in my dreams. And I dreamed about having a family vengeance

I could watch this all day and I wish I was younger and richer so I could travel to my fathers fighting grounds with the 3rd armored division in North Africa and in Italy.

Hello I just hope, that these guys are handing over the data and the finding position of these identification tags to the German WASt (Wehrmachstauskunftsstelle) and "Kriegsgräberfürsorge" (war graves commission). If one can find a tag, there mostly somewhere around are the mortal remains of the fallen soldier. Many German families still don't know where their ancestors have died. The Kriegsgräberfürsorge would go for the place, excavate them and bury them again in a soldier graveyard nearby so that the families have a place to go and remember. My family is searching for my grandpa since 1944. Probably he remained in Belarus. The last we know, is that he met a Cousin at Minsk in the beginning of June 1944. So to all metal detecting fans of WW2: Please give these who care the chance, to bring the boys back home. If there is no other way, just make a photo with geolocation of the tags, delete the rest of possibly identifying meta-data and send these to the shown organisations anonymus. There is not much effort in this, but it helps to bring them back from anonymity. These were also fathers, brothers, sons of someone who cared. Thanks a lot. Regards Th. Krapf

I watched one or two of your earlier videos and while interesting, it wasn't that enjoyable. For some reason, the music you use for the historical photos in this video made it mesmerising to watch. That slower reverent sound gave me chills. Note: I am no Nazi and despise what they stood for and what they did. Regardless, this brings to life the reality of life in a different time. The faces in some of those photos makes me want to go back and ask them so many questions. I have sons, and despite being from a different continent, culture and time, I see my sons eyes in some of those photographs. Despite the evil regime and the evil ideology, they were somebody's sons with a story.
