@@nerofoxkrell Not necessary just do not make them so overpowered.Water them down just enough to where they are still dangerous.But cant cut through whole squads unscathed.Get them closer to their counterparts in the movies.If Jango & Boba Fett can take them out.Then any skilled marksman,mercenary,bounty hunter,etc.can too.Especially if they are good snipers and at an elevated well hidden position and the Jedi/Sith are preoccupied taking on hostile shooters and melee fighters at ground level.Or have the tech skill to rig a few droids with flash bangs to disorient them just long enough to get a clear shot. ;)

Honestly I have always love “player driven games” like DayZ or Rust. They just need mechanics that discourage shooting on sight. My best example is a little known mod called “Persistent Frontier” (set during the settling of America) for Mount and blade: Warband. So as a part of one of the major factions (The British empire) we had like 20 something players. But to cut a long story short the French faction attacked some of our players who were mining, and stole their cart full of iron. So our faction leader goes to meet with theirs at the neutral settlement for diplomatic talks, to negotiate for the return of the ore and hopefully avoid conflict. However no agreement could be reached and war was declared. So these leaders start going to other factions to buy/Encorage their support or scare them to keep out of it. If I remember correctly one of the leaders even hired some highwaymen to assassinate the other during one of these diplomatic missions. All culminating in a large battle (by PF Standards, 30 to 40 players) with cavalry, skirmishers and line infantry. That turned into a siege, until our faction captured the French settlement. It was magnificent and I will never forget it. that it what “Player driven” games should strive to be. Give players that much freedom and they will make their own classes, roles, quests and factions. It’s what I was looking forward too with Fallout 76 but as soon as I heard there would be no spontaneous PVP, I knew it never would. You need that fear of strangers to bring people together, safety in numbers and so on. Not to mention all the trades and skills needed to sustain a community, like farmers, blacksmiths shopkeepers and guards.

I wish there were more polished examples of games that gave players a sort of freedom to shape the world naturally like you described. Archeage is one of the games we draw inspiration from when making these videos. It had the potential to be a great player driven sandbox mmo, and we'd probably still be playing it today if it wasn't for corporate greed ruining an otherwise great game. Hopefully in the future we can expect more games that offer that kind of freedom. ~Phatt

@@WafflePhattdippa then there is 2b2t from Minecraft where it is such anarchy that it is...... anarchy. Basically you can't play unless you have all the cheats. The second any base gets discovered it is an instant grief (there are bases which are enormous and obviously took months to build but only moments to destroy). Hell last I checked there was an entire group of players trying to destroy every tree and grass block in a 20k by 20k square around spawn just so new players wouldn't be able to get wood.
