I love Wagakki band too ! But even after 2 years in Japan, I'm still attracted to the African sounds too !!!

Just a commentary about why Japan is different and creative: Ever since Japan industrialized in the mid-19th Century and even before (Tang Dynasty China), Japan has always absorbed outside culture and technology by making it Japanese. Heavy Metal has been absorbed by Japan and become Japanese through the incredible talent of Wagakki band, BabyMetal, Band Maid, Ningen Isu and many others.

They are amazing, this is more of a introduction to them and just a radio friendly song. They are as much or even more awesome live. I suggest reacting to Homura live (instrumental), Tsuioku live and pretty much anything by them. Another band I really enjoy is Maximum the Hormone, maybe try song What's up People, they are frantic, fun and pretty much doesn't take themselves seriously. Like Wagakki Band, they have so many great songs. Really enjoy your videos, as you said it's really fun sharing and discovering new bands and Japan has some amazing bands.

Please, react to Sokoninaru from Japan, I love that band.
Ah, my second favorite band lately they're definitely folk rock (as also said below). Yuko, the singer is an instructor of shingin, that vocal style. They led me to Band-maid actually. Song suggestions would be Strong Fate, Akatsuki no Ito, Yuki yo Mai Chire Sonata ni Mukete (kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2rQZ6WaoaZ1b9U), and their new song is pretty good. Definitely a live band. And I definitely like to watch people react to bands I like, because confirmation bias.

It´s a funny thing about Wagakki Band. This song is a version of one of the same name, written for the vocaloid program and the virtual idol "Hatsune Miku" Check here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZnWYaV3ntymfbM Wagakki band do some versions of songs written for vocaloid. Don´t get me wrong. Wagakki is a great band. His members are superb players. Some of them with a career in classic japanese instruments, and the singer also have a solid formation in this way. Is more like japanese like to "play" with everything. ¿Who else thinks in get some songs from a "virtual idol" and make with them a fusion of hard rock and traditional music? (they also change the lyrics) And of course they have a lot of themes composed by them. In the field of metal maybe must check for "Jupiter". A band with one of the best live guitar in Japan: Hizaki They do symphonic metal, neoclasic and power. I´m pretty sure you will appreciate it Also a "rock" band, maybe even "pop-rock" but very good: Scandal

If you like goups that exhibit Traditional culture, language, instruments, & dance , U should check out Johnny Clegg & Savuka from South Afrika. Zulu & English lyrics, Johnny ( a white dude) speaks 5 dialects of Zulu, plays guitar, concertina, & does all the dances, at different points in their performances. Friggin' awesome, & culturally transcendant !!!!

If you are into acoustic music, here is "Tsuioku". I think it can be found only in this version on youtube. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYalZnutdqefgJI "Synchronicity" is still the one very unique song of theirs. "Hanafurumai" is upbeat track. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaSYhK2Ka5ahp9E "Hoshizukiyo" also. "Hakushi kassai" was very fun, but it's deleted. "Sora no kiwami e" - personal favoutire. They make different combination of instruments, in between regular songs. Here is one. instrumentation/dance kzbin.info/www/bejne/hH6nkmClm9l5Z7c I'm trying to chose more rock sounding titles (that can be found here): Ukiyo heavy life Hotarubi Tengaku Akatsuki no ito I don't know if their music is considered complicated for someone's ears. To me it's very catchy, rich as a sound and well structured...ugh i lack better words to describe it better. One thing that i see in already few Japanese bands is, that sometimes the lyrics of a seemingly fun song, are sad (or at least to me).

A good song with vocals similar to Aldious. Not something I would listen too myself. Shame the guitars were turned down to -11 as a bit more oomph would have helped. Others may like it as it is.
