Most people are willing to be slaves. They call it the work ethic. That's what keeps people tied to the endless treadmill for decades until they either retire or work themselves into an early grave.

My dislike was for the promotion of a UBI, which pays already wealthy people for no reason, and doesn't take into account the extended needs of people with disabilities. It's one of those zeitgeisty phrases that people love to drop, without ever examining its inherent weaknesses. A targeted benefit system for everyone that needs it with no punitive dimension would work just fine, and encourage the same thing.

@@RobbytSon first of all Skype is not Estonian, Skype is the brain child of Niklas Zennström, a swede, and Janus Friis, a dane. Niklas and Janus then went on to hire some estonian software engineers to realise their project. Secondly, Estonia is not extremely capitalist 😂They have flat income tax rate of 20% as well as a consumption tax of 20% VAT for purchased good, salaries paid to employees are subject to a 33% social tax, as well as unemployment insurance premiums and funded pension payments. It stands to reason that there is a great deal of wealth redistribution in Estonia. And Sweden, Denmark and other Scandinavian countries are not anti-capitalist. Both Estonia, Sweden, Denmark and the rest of the scandinavian countries, and most of Europe are MIXED economies. That is, economies with a great deal of capitalism and a great deal of socialism.

Very true. Today's jobs are glorified form of slavery where a person slog all days for some corporate/company to earn their living and then spend that hard earn money on lifestyle, branded stuff and things (which are being sold by corporates only). So, the money given to a employee is going back again to the some form of corporates eventually. Therefore, common man can never come out of this slavery cycle.

Honestly it’s the expenses of life that cause more people to move into slave wages. If the bottom tier worker only makes enough to cover food, rent, and utilities then it’s no different than the company (plantation) housing and feeding the slave. Receiving money provides the illusion of choice, hence “freedom”. If the cost of living was cut in half the worker will have excess capital to invest, buy property, or satisfy the wants of life. So it all comes down to capitol accumulation. The rich managerial class can cover their basics needs and invest the rest. Passive income enriches the wealthy. The poor can only use their wages to exist and thus stay stuck in poverty. Inflation and devaluation of money makes it harder to accumulate capitol as more of the wage has to cover existence fees.

It goes deeper and more sinister imo. As we are all competing for the same pie then everytime someone is offered a job and someone does not then the person with the income is unaware that they are effectively violent towards the person who failed. The minute a person is part of the system ,then that participation demands , yes demands poverty to be displaced on someone else.

Oh, they protested, but instead of saying: Well, GENERAL STRIKE, NOW! They only offered token resistance!) and make it clear to employers everywhere that the time of giving workers peanuts and working them to the bone (40 hours, 45, 50 even!) are over! Seriously, even science supports working less than 7 hours a day and/or a 4 Day-Work-Week! Why should be sacrifice most of our lives to enrich somebody else? That is neither fair nor ok and it needs to stop! Indeed, UBI is needed - why? a) It breaks the Master/Slave-Dynamic b) It removes the fear of losing everything from 90% of people (freeing them to explore alternatives to working 35, 40, 45 or evne 50 hours a week at a meaningless job, that pays like crap, too!) - this is why the good jobs almost always go to the already rich, because they can afford to spend a decade deciding what they want to do and then get (the best) education in that field, too without having to worry about debt etc.! This is a must have, I am no longer voting for any politician or party, that doesn't support UBI! Sadly the majority of people is too brainwashed to do this and they vote for the same shit every election and then hope for change (so they are clinically INSANE - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insanity!)

UBI is a guarantee of your slavery fool. Someone has to produce goods and when people can exist without having to work, they will not work. You will receive UBI based upon your adherence to carbon tax allotment, your digital ID and passport, and medical identification. If you say something or do something violating the guidelines for UBI, your benefits will be cut and you will starve, and in effect, you lose all autonomy and sovereignty as an individual to speak freely or protest freely without fear of serious repercussions. Stop being a lazy prick. You’re going to make life a living hell because you think your neo-socialist reforms are the answer to society’s problems when what you’re really pushing for is a globalist control system that will leave 99.99% of all people living in absolute squalor, being tracked and traced for everything they’re worth, impoverished, and now even worse- unable to speak freely about it because their very livelihood depends upon a government check. Those who would sacrifice freedom for a little security, deserve neither.

The main problem with a UBI is that unless it’s tied to the consumer price index it accomplishes nothing more than a minimum wage increase would. Inflation will eat away at it and landlords will immediately start to charge more. Demand will increase across the board so prices will go up unless there’s some sort of incentive to prevent them from price gouging, like tying the UBI to the CPI. The problem with that would be the fact that the tax code would eventually need to be updated if costs go up beyond the allocated tax revenue so the program doesn’t become partially insolvent like social security will. That means placing a lot more faith in American democracy than we should. A better solution would simply be to figure out a living wage within each state and then tie that to the consumer price index since that provides a direct incentive to employers not to price gouge immediately after a wage increase since it would have an immediate impact on their bottom line if wages went up. I get that that’s scary for small business owners and may mean many would have to close down in the short term, but let’s be honest; if your business is so inherently exploitative that its existence depends on not providing employees with enough money for basic necessities needed for survival such as food, housing and health insurance, your business’s existence is immoral. The thing to remember though is that small business closures would be a temporary byproduct of substantially increasing the minimum wage. There would still be demand for goods, which means the majority of workers would keep their jobs and would have far more money to spend, which means aggregate demand would increase in the long run. Demand is what creates jobs. Taking money from taxpayers and handing it to the rich or lowering the rich’s taxes and reducing benefits to the poor so businesses don’t close is the exact opposite of how you increase demand and grow an economy. It’s how you maintain the modern equivalent to a feudal state. It’s how you keep a company that doesn’t have enough demand to justify its size or existence around solely because you don’t want to have a potential recession occur during your term. It’s good politics, but it’s completely economically inefficient. It’s kicking the can down the road. If a business requires a subsidy to sustain itself, then you’re quite literally using money that could be used to increase aggregate demand and using it instead to either increase unwanted supply or to bloat the wages of unneeded executives, or both. We could easily afford to increase the minimum wage and implement a universal basic income, but for the time being it seems as though it would be better to first introduce a living wage for every worker and to tie that to the consumer price index to avoid prices immediately skyrocketing. Since a UBI would involve redistribution of wealth through taxes it would be way too easy for the wealthy to buy elections, lower taxes below the minimum threshold to have a solvent UBI program, then to point to the insolvent system and say it’s an example of how socialism doesn’t work despite the fact that they rigged it to fail by lowering taxes

My wife and are friends with an older couple in their 60s that retired at 55 with a combined 500 grand. They are debt free and decided to downsize after retirement so they moved into a smaller more efficient home in a small town in New Mexico. Their kids are all grown with their own lives and come visit them twice a year. On our travels we stopped by and met up with them. Turns out she works part time at a bank and he works part time at a oil and lube drive thru. I asked " how can you be retired if you are still working"? .. Their response " We are retired in the sense we are not dependent on our employers. Retired is a loose term. Unlike our colleagues who must work to pay their mortgage and car notes we are not subject to wage slavery. We can walk away from our employment freely. The money we earn covers our utilities and groceries but even those expenses are minimal". Now that my wife and I are debt free home owners we understand.

However it’s easier when it isn’t restricted. Certain books are more rare than others. And certain teachings are only offered to those who are considered worthy. For us we all get to go through the peasant indoctrination system. This way when another world leader opposes our teams world leaders’ agenda, then our sides world leader (our boss/farmer) can use us as canon fodder. We are his pawns and his knights are the big corporations. The better producing slaves earn better rewards but those are just incentives to get us to work harder for them and stay loyal to them and their agenda even if we don’t agree with their agenda but it’s even worse because many of us don’t know their true evil agenda and it’s hidden in plain sight.

Would you still be saying your 9 to 5 job is slavery? When capitalism works it produces the best good at the lowest cost. You do see this in the system. For example a 9.95c Crunch Fitness Membership or through modern day apps Crunchyroll (unlimited anime), Spotify, Apple Music, Google Maps (totally free btw). To reproduce these goods on my own at the same cost would be impossible. This is what happens when you have economies of scale. I hope this helps.

I think a better solution would be for people to become more self-sufficient. Grow a garden, for example. Moreover, the government needs to get out of the way of smaller businesses, and allow people to work for themselves without as much hassle as there currently is. If we could provide for ourselves more freely, this wouldn't be nearly as much of a problem as it is, I think, but here we are -- living in a country where lemonade stands are apparently illegal. Seriously, look into it; It's foolish. The difficulty in the burden that needlessly restrictive laws place on the little guy are dissuasive when they don't simply halt action altogether.

How can one save or invest a meaningful amount of money in anything if they don't already have money? I also tax your money charging you fees and interest to further the banking institutions enslavement. Insurance is part of the institution that no matter who does not pay their bills. Are paid for by all who hold jobs and "own" businesses. With the creation of the trilateral commission. This "incorporated" politicians into "business" and the pay to play system we have. Social security is socialism which is a pyramid scheme... How do you stop? Start bartering and stop living beyond your means with credit cards.

UBI is a step in the right direction but I think we need to get rid of money altogether because with UBI you still have ridiculous unnecessary problems. Social security is basically UBI the only difference is that it’s not universally for everyone and one may say “well the retirees that receive social security worked for this money” my response is no they didn’t because they already got paid for when they weren’t retired for the work they did. Retirees who receive social security still have the ridiculous unnecessary problems money brings along with itself. Get rid of money and you end all of these monetary problems we have altogether.
@JDiculous1
@JDiculous1 5 жыл бұрын
You can't just get rid of money though. If the U.S. decides the dollar is no longer a currency, then other worse forms of money will just fill the vacuum. I think the best we can do is reduce the need for money for survival, and reduce its influence as the primary driving force in our economy. UBI is the most realistic and elegant way of accomplishing this. But I'm open to other ideas.
@getridofmoney9868
@getridofmoney9868 5 жыл бұрын
Yes can absolutely get rid of money if we wanted to do so. We stopped accepting many things in the past that was money at one point in time and other worse forms of money couldn’t fill the vacuum if no one accepts them at all. Money is all psychological and it’s entire existence is on mere acceptance of it and with money or medium of exchange you will always have the same problems arise that are unavoidable. If the best we can do is reduce the need for money for survival and reduce its influence as the primary force in our economy why not just keep going and eliminate it completely? And reducing the need for money for survival and reducing its influence as the the primary driving force in our economy becomes a fundamental problem because with a medium of exchange it will always be at the center of our economy and be the primary driving force for it because it’s what people use to get access to needs and wants if we accept it that is. This ultimately happens with any medium of exchange naturally. I agree with you that UBI is a good thing and a step in the right direction but problems will still arise simply because of money itself like I said in my example with social security the retirees are still completely dependent on money, still want more money, still are influenced and governed by money and the rich still have control over the poor, they can still get their money stolen, they can still get scammed, ect. I am also open to new ideas and solutions as well and I enjoyed your video a lot it really shows one of the fundamental problems with money wage slavery is absolutely terrible and a huge problem.
@JDiculous1
@JDiculous1 5 жыл бұрын
@@getridofmoney9868 So again I like the idea of eliminating money in theory, but I don't see how that would work in practice. If we eliminated the U.S. dollar tomorrow, then I would bet that people would start accepting Euros or some other currency in its place. If you can detail out or refer to some plan for eliminating money that would work, then I'm all ears. Otherwise it just sound like some unrealistic utopia.
@getridofmoney9868
@getridofmoney9868 5 жыл бұрын
JDiculous I would agree that people would accept some other currency if they truly didn’t understand currency at all and the problems it brings. People need to realize accepting one form of currency for another makes no sense because you still have the same problems regardless of what currency/medium of exchange it is. Currencies have come and gone and have been replaced by other forms of currency in the past but yet we still have the same problems. That’s because people don’t understand currency at all. Also I wouldn’t say getting rid of money would equal a unrealistic utopia because of multiple reasons here’s a few: 1. Getting rid of money has already been done and is being done right now 2. Getting rid of money doesn’t solve all of humanity’s problems and lead to a utopia 3. Getting rid of money is simply just that getting rid of money nothing more and nothing less. It gets rid of all of our ridiculous unnecessary monetary problems that aren’t real at all because the entire concept of money is completely made up and psychological. And now how I see us achieving this and getting rid of money is as follows 1. start talking about it 2. Start discussing it with people 3. Understanding what money truly is and tell people because the more people actually understand how ridiculous the concept of money is the easier it will be to get rid of it 4. Start trying to rely on it like you said as little as possible throughout your day and life and use as little of it as possible 5. Get more and more people on the same page of how ridiculous money is, the biggest reason why money has so much power over people psychologically is because people have no clue what money actually is. 6. Start listening to people’s arguments against a moneyless society and trust me I have yet to hear a new argument against it. I think I have heard every single argument one could possibly make against a moneyless society and they are all really ridiculous once you actually understand them. 7. Talk with others that also agree that money is ridiculous and unnecessary because if you have a community it can grow and get bigger and you can share more with each other. It can be hard at times when you think this way because hardly anyone agrees or is just very ignorant on the subject. With numbers it really helps. These are a few of the things we can do and I know these sound small but honestly we gotta start somewhere and starting small and growing is the best step this stuff will take some time but I do agree supporting concepts like UBI are great but you gotta remember UBI still has its problems and that monetary problems will never truly go away until money is no longer accepted. people accept UBI because they understand money but their arguments for money make no sense at all. And that’s what money has caused people to do is just completely accept it.
