This is probably the closest anybody's gonna get to a slide French Horn. And it sounds pretty darn good, it almost has the sound of one.

Rob Hoiting Oh, I know it's nothing like a french horn, but it's the closest thing to it. Trombones have virtually nothing in common with the french horn. I just said it's the closest thing because it's in the same range (alto). Now let me ask you this. Why did you insult me? Did anything good come from it?

Michael Dixon - Hi Michael 👋 I appreciate your comment- However I would have to offer This instead: it sounds like a Flugel Horn much more than a French Horn. Flugel has a Warm mellow, Lower-pitched trumpet-like Tone - and yes is usually in F - (but the F one octave ABOVE the Horn’s center) Horn Horn has a Round, Resonant Glowing Sound by Comparison 😜
