Fun story. So I just bought a custom mouthpiece for a really old Eb Bass that I own. As a test run, this was the first piece I tried to play since I knew I could find the music for it. My take away? "That's tough. I see why they use F Tubas." Uhh...yeah. So much for that.

By far my favorite interpretation on Miestersinger. I love the sound of the Tuano playing in this setting (credit Alessandro Fossi could make a student horn sound incredible) with the balance between tuba and basses while still having a light bass tuba feel on a CC tuba.

Nacho Tuba I was not saying his horn is a student horn. I know the Tuano is a top of the line instrument. I was more so saying that Mr. Fossi can make any instrument sound incredible.

The upper register requirements of Meistersinger are insane! You make it sound like a warm-up exercise. I can squeak out the high E on my BBb horn, but it's definitely not something I'd perform anytime soon. Any tips for building the high register?

I make some videos on how to perform glissato buzzing exercise from my book, that practice help a lot to develop different registers
