I have about 250 foot of fence and went through 20 gall9ns of stain fro front and back using the 515 tip. I think it went through too much. What you think about a 313 tip

Thanks for watching and the question. We had similar length fence but only sprayed one side and used about 10 gallons of stain. It also will matter the wood because ours was also “drinking” it cuz it was the first time being stained. Give the 313 a try though and see. It does have a smaller spray pattern at only about 6 inches so you wouldn’t have as much overspray that might have occurred with the 515.

Thank you for the question. I wasn’t able to find any specific reference on any of the paperwork that I have with ours. I do believe it is however but don’t hold me to it as I did t see anything in the manual regarding the motor. I can speak to how well it sprays and ease of cleanup and operation. About 10 gallons for around 250-300ft fence that was 8-10 ft tall. Please let us know if switching to the 313 helped you use less. Thanks for commenting and hope we helped.

you need to switch the guard as well. The guards are universal 100% of the time and sometimes the tips can be switched between different brands of guards. You can put any type of guard on the threads of the gun and once the guard is on you match up the tips to the guard
