This video is awesome! There is a lot of demo on this unit, but they all fail to mention or provide instruction for the spray head clogging. Thank God the instruction is located on the lid. All u do is rotate the spray head 180 decrees, then spray releasing paint to unclog the spray head. Then, rotate back to its original position.

Hi Linda, the metric wrenches you will need are 14m, 16m, 17m and 19m. The 515 tip that comes with the unit is for spraying latex paints, if you want to spray stain you will need the HEA 313 tip I purchase it online from Home Depot but they are currently out of stock on it. I have also seen it on Lowes and Amazon. You failed to say that it takes an extreme amount of paint to use this. It took 1/2 gal just to do a small privacy fence maybe 18ft long and ran out of paint. Couldn’t even finish it

@austinmaxwell9564 Not sure, Is it latex paint, and how thick is it. Some deck and concrete paints are latex and you would have no issue spraying through this unit. That said I have seen some that are very thick and need to be applied with a roller. Got a question Dave the stain my wife and inlaws picked out is from Sherman Williams it's kinda thick if you like I can send you a picture. I'm in the paving construction 🚧 business making roads and highways interstates up in New Hampshire I'm dumb as shit when it comes to painting my wife or inlaws do the painting cause I'm a train wreck . Now I pressure washed my deck this past Saturday and got all the old stain off that I put on 3 years ago at that time I used a wagner small unit one of those hand held jobbies it was ok. A year later it broke this why I want a bigger and better man toy 😊 and this wagner control pro 130 would be a good fit. Your advise on this crazy stain

Hi Charles, sounds like the stain from Sherman Williams may have a poly urethane sealer in it. I would ask Sherman Williams staff what type of spray tip they recommend to use for spraying this stain and let them know you are using a Wagner Pro Control 130 airless sprayer. The other option would be just to use a stain without poly urethane sealer hope this helps.

Painting or staining it tomorrow Dave weather in the northeast has been extremely humid and the rain has been horrible we have received 3 feet of water in the last 50 days in New Hampshire so tomorrow is the big. Yesterday day Friday dry and 75 degrees out today its 81 degrees out and dry tomorrow sunday Supposed to be 80 and dry zero humidity the last 3 days so it's go time. I'll let you know how it works out. I live in Laconia New Hampshire. Where are you from.

good vid, helps to have a length of board or cardboard (bout 800mm long) for when you spray the top of the fence to catch the overspray at the top and stop it going over the neighbours (they won't be impressed when you stain their yard/patio/flowers). Just don't touch their side of the fence with it. Make a few of these.

I just used one on a bedroom wall, but it had a lot of overspray, on door and window trim, and floor, even though I masked and used plastic. Any way to prevent/mitigate overspray?

Hi Brian, Make sure you are using the Wagner 515 HEA Spray Tip for latex paints. Also try to make sure you are not more than 12 to 15 inches away from the surface you are painting. I am not a pro painter and I still have some over spray but those tips seem to improve the amount of over spray. If you are painting and start to see overspray in the air stop and try moving closer to what you are painting. Hope this helps but I think a lot of just practice makes better. Hi Dorinda, I use the 315, and 515 tips. The 315 spray tip is for stains water base or oil base. I use the 515 for either latex and oil based paints. I haven't needed any other tip for anything I have ever used the wagner Pro 130 to paint. I have stained and painted cabinets and I have painted exterior and interior walls in my home. How does it look ok the other side of the fence? I want to do this to my fence but am worried it'll bleed between the pickets onto the my neighbor's side of the fence

Matt, when Chris stained his side of the fence it didn't bleed through to my side so I think you will be good to go if you decide to stain your fence. I used Ready Seal Redwood stain they do have other colors at Home Depot and Lowes but Lowes has a lower price that said Home Depot will price match just check it out online first.
