Absolutely first class performance! Orchestra was brilliant under wonderful direction. Great tempi throughout. I sang the role of Siegfried in a few productions, and I can tell you it never felt as easy as this fine tenor made it look. He was a force of nature who never seemed to tire. His musicality and use of dynamics, legato, and incredible diction made it all the more impressive. Glad to know there is a wonderful, true helden tenor out there to take on these roles and fill the opera house with sound....not like another current tenor who sounds like a boy soprano, but I won't go into that! lol Bravo to the whole team. Off to watch the next 2 acts!!

durch Zufall bin ich auf das Duett Mime-Sigfried gestoßen, obwohl kein großer Wagnerfan, die beiden Herren Ya-Chung Huang und Clay Hilley singen so klangschön, eloquent und spannend, dass es mich erstaunlicherweise fesselt ihnen zuzuhören. Wann kommt es schon mal vor, dass man Wagner so überzeugend hören kann?

I have never heard of this young singer, Mr. Huang, who sings Mime and he’s wonderful, a total match for Mr. Hilley. He impersonates all the venom, wiles and even the tenderness of the character.
