It’s a rotary clipper. Rotary motors will ALWAYS be louder. Magnetic motors will always quieter.

Glenze Singleton Please look on the Whal Pro website. They will tell you about their cordless seniors and Magic clip and they are actually a electromagnetic motor. Not a Rotary motor. I agree they sound just like a Rotary motor. I had to check before buying because I have never liked the rotary motors. Then I purchased it and turned it on and was like Wait... what! Double checked it to actually jut be a loud rotary.

I have 2 of them also, I have no problem with the sound. The run time is 70 minutes not 7 hours. The recharge time is about the same so 2 pairs is a must. I'm consistantly getting 5 to 6 cuts done on a full charge.

I charge all 5 overnight and use them all completely up by the end of the day. I only work 8 hour days, but getting $40 to around $60 per cut the day balances out pretty well.

What up big al. Im with you on this im glad that they came up with the cordless. But im still bit disapointed with the noise. Im #1 fan on 5star sénior i being using it Sincé it came up on 94. And one thing i love from oldschool one is silence to cut. But after that im still happy about cordless just the best.

Thanks for the video. I am a female Master Barber and I have cut in various Barber Shops for 21 years because of USAF. Shop owner in GA now 15 years. I also learned to cut and fade on a senior. (multi cultural hair) I just got the cordless senior. Yes it’s loud! I think I can get used to it because it cuts so nice and smooth . I have heard the ceramic blade will make the cut even a little bit smoother because it runs cooler. It did get hot on me because I only have 1 pair and I used it for back to back cuts. I am going to try it if I can find a ceramic blade. Maybe get a second pair later. I also have been using the magic clip now about 6 months. I hated Magic clip at first. It felt cheep and hearing the crunch made me feel like my blade was dull. However I have learned the staggered blade on the magic clipper is best for very thick and/or coarse hair. Fade it with the 1/16 whal premium guard and its smooths it out like butter with less work. You have to get that guard! It’s amazing, unlike the cheep white 1/16 they include with the clipper. I keep Magic clip on my station for fading very thick /coarse hair. The staggering tooth kind of works like a thinning shear to blend. Try and tell me what you think.

When I got magic I felt same didnt like quality or the feel of it too light. But this new cordless is badass, I have got use to louder motor. As far as 1/16 guard goes, this clip was heavan sent I used struggle with center shadow line till I got a half clip that's what I call it. My daughter is also a master barber, keep grinding.

Teri Barr go online and search for the babyliss pro 614 ceramic replacement and blade u can put it on the magic or seniors I use it with the original senior taper blade and the ceramic for the cutter blade on my magics and cordless seniors they cut like a hot knife through butter! 💯👌

I would buy corded they are less expensive and will last you very long time . You will also need premium guards in order to do proper cut . Good luck please use our link it helps the channel.

So is it easier to fade with this Wahl Senior Cordless or Andis Masters cause my masters recently broke and ive been stuck using only my Magic Clip to fade my hair. Andis seem a little too complex to fix and heavy. My shits just magically stop working. I rather upgrade to these Cordless Seniors if it makes more sense to

I would, I been cutting hair for 17 years and never like master too heavy and I could never get blade not snag skin. I been on cordless for 4 months ....I love them , but you need 2. One to work while other charges. Good luck

I did that with cordless magic, and it worked perfect. Try it, I think it would work good just make sure to zero gap it .

The Stagger-Tooth blade is actually not that good. Just switch out the blade on your Magic Clip and get a Deep-Tooth blade.

I’m not a barber and I’ve cut hair maybe ONCE in my life. I want to cut my hair and my boys hair. Both straight thin to medium thickness. No fancy fading, somewhat short and tapered/blended. I’ve been entertaining the cordless Magic clips. I prefer to buy quality stuff over the $30 stuff from Walmart although I don’t necessarily need barber quality. I like the idea of cordless just for convenience only and it’s NOT a requirement. I also considered the Wahl Elite Pro only because they come with a set of the premium guards. Forget your a PRO for a minute. If YOU were only going to use a set of clippers to cut hair say 3 times a month, what would you choose? Value IS important but at this point I’ve already considered spending $80 or so. I don’t feel it’s probably necessary to spend more based on the options that I’ve seen. The lure of the Elite Pro is really the nice guards. Are the metal clip guards much better or am I just wanting something I don’t really need? I would prefer to buy a set of clippers and NOT have to purchase another for set for 20 yrs. Thank you Sir!

Ive been trying to fade my whole life brotha. This queation is to anyone and everyone whos a baber. Ive bought these really cheap clippers on amazon to start my fading learning process. I get every inch of the process now of fading. But my clippers dont do me any justice. Now that I can afford either the seniors or andis masters. Which do yah think would give me that nice ball fade. Yes they might be lighter, but they aren't as durable to stand the test of time. Plus the technology really hasn't hanged that much in 100 years.

It's the operator of the equipment that matters. Great barber's can do great things with shitty equipment. It all comes down to personal preference. The clipper companies thank you for constantly buying new stuff though.
