I’ve been wanting to try hello fresh but all the packaging has been stopping me from subscribing, would really love it if they reduced their plastic usage. We should all really just try to save the earth little by little especially if we love animals!

i always tip even if it's a takeout order! i'm a server and i've also been a cashier, working both the pay was only ever minimum wage and tips is how we make our money since we have to claim cash tips and they tax on them. we end up having to tip out other people at restaurants like bussers, food runners, bartenders and sometimes even chefs depending on the restaurant so even if it's take out, we still gotta tip our other people from the total sales and not tipping actually costs the server to lose money from their tips! of course different restaurants have different rules but they do still cook the food and package it for you all while taking care of other guests who are eating in the restaurant.

26:20 about tipping: this might be because I work at a restaurant but I feel like you should always tip, including when you order take-out. Even though it seems like a small interaction, in most cases, the employee still put in their effort to deliver an amazing experience for you. what I keep in mind is just to always tip anyone that provides any service for you, whether it's something big or small. Of course, this depends on how much take out you ordered though...

Sis, I work in the food and beverage industry. And you tip on take out. A small percentage let's say at least 5 to 10 percent. These workers who live off of a tip and are played lower than minimum wages still take the time to prep your food in time so it's hot ready in take out containers or with utensils sause in containers. You're paying for take out food yes, tip a small percentage for the prep. Big orders tip a little more, youre slowing down service in the actual resturant. Fast food smaller percentage because they are equipped for flash frying or super quick efficiency. Mahalos from the 808 hospitality state.

Well i use to not tip at all when I got take out but when my boyfriend started working as a Waiter he would also have to be the one preparing the orders for take out which is a service, mind you that most of those waiters/servers who prepare your food for dine in or take out still make less than minimum wage so it would be appropriate to tip them.

I usually don’t tip as much for takeout orders but I always try to leave a few dollars. Most places take a percentage of the tips for the kitchen staff so even if you’re not tipping for service, you’re tipping the people who made your food!

I’ve worked in restaurants for the longest time and I usually tip on take-outs (like 5-10% or depending on how big the order is). Most places I’ve worked at made sure to pack everything nicely and include utensils/condiments/napkins, etc. So I suppose that’s giving service in a way :)

You should tip to go orders, at least where i work at Shogun. Every to go order the hostess has to food mod ur special request, we prepare the soups and salads. Box all the food together, have to check everything grab from kitchen and have all the essentials in the bag and pour every sauce you’d like. Its time consuming; so tips are always appreciated especially for big to go orders.

First of all, I ABSOLUTELY FRIGGIN LOVE YOUR VLOGS! You guys are incredibly awesome! Also I'm Asian and grew up in Peru, there was a vlog where Wah started singing "Suavemente" and I was laughing uncontrollably. That's probably how I look when I sing in Spanish! So the point of my comment is that you guys should create a podcast talking about everything related to PETS, dogs specifically since you guys seem to know so much! I think it would be such a great project for you guys, and every few episodes you could have guests (friends of yours) who has dogs and share their tips and experiences as a dog mom/dad! Name recommendation for your podcast, WAHLIE PET TALK!. Anyways, keep it up with your amazing job! You guys are LO MEJOR EN KZbin!

I tip a couple dollars for take out. I used to work in a restaurant, I was supposed to do exclusively take out orders only, but I helped the servers seat tables, get drinks/run food, and clean up. They never shared any of their tips with me so most nights I'd only have like $5 tips - and that would be a good night!

Normally, a portion of the tip goes towards the kitchen staff who actually make the food. Also, to the servers to pack the food. Although it's not direct service in a restaurant, I still try to tip. Of course you don't have to tip as much as you would eating in a restaurant, but I at least try to tip a little.
