Press and hold the button for 10 seconds to enter pro mode, then it allows you to engrave with the doors open. On wainlux official channel there's a video called "Wainlux K8: How to Engrave Objects beyond the Length of the Machine?" .

I haven't tried one in person, but they are really nice for small prints. I'm fascinated by the speed they can achieve with a stationary laser.
