It happened to me for several times when i was trying to showcase C6 Kuki can't die outside the shield. But somehow she didn't take any damage or sometimes she only took some damage. I always activate the elemental skill and jumping around when doing that. But sometimes the raiden's slash triggered the c6 kuki (the hp turned to 1, means she would die if not c6)

idk but same thing happens with scaramouche weekly boss as well. where if we fail to break the electro thingys after breakin his shield in phase 2 of fight. The atttack kills some teammates and some stays alive.

It is possible to i frame that attack. The most noticeable uses I've seen are, Mona during her hold skill and there is a technique with Amber where you build her with a ton of ER so you can detonate 2 bunnies right before that attack and then i frame it with her burst. These all require perfect timing so most players don't go with this strat. I would assume the Yelan player managed to I frame it by sheer accident. There are a few Amber mains Like @rintaichou who have demonstrated the Amber version for those interested.

Speaking of i-frames, i've even found out that switching charas even has some i-frames. I know this bc i dodged an attk in oceanid without losing any health bc of the timing of the switch. No idea how many frames though

Fact: If u sprint/using character's skill right when the Puppet strikes, u will take no damage from the strike. I have no idea why that Yelan still takes damage after that, but they definitely have some knowledge about the boss.

I dont fully understand as well but I'll provide a bit of my understanding from this. When Raiden's second phase electro ball did not get popped, one of the teammate (presumably the one who did the most damage) will get one-shotted, while the rest will get a bit of damage, not really sure about this but it should be half of max hp of the character. Maybe yelan in this scenario did not get considered as "the one who did the most damage" and somehow the game did not register that only 1 player is alive, and so applied the partial damage instead of 1-shotting. Not sure if hydro resonance is accounted so that also could be a miscalculation(?)

​@@yourx8983I believe raiden's one shot attack is targeted to certain players, so I think it is not weird that you were saved if other teammates were the ones that were targeted by raiden (I might be wrong, anyone cmiiw). But not sure about yelan in this video though because she was alone during that fight and we can see the "target eye" (idk what to call it 😭) on her. Maybe just a bug.

Raiden’s one shot only targets one player. It indicates who its targeting by whomever has the eye on them. (Scara’s boss is the same way, except I don’t think there’s an indicator for whose going to die to it)

Only a bug, not her dodge skills or exploit. This damage is counted as death not even HP loss. Yelan was also marked by the Raiden's eye. All theories about NRE or E skill is not proven.

Burst? Usually I time my burst to avoid certain attacks. Might be wrong though. Dodge is also possible but I don't see her dodging.

you lose your burst (if you even have it during that phase) as soon as the orb appears so you can't i-frame that specific attack with burst. there used to be a glitch where you spam the NRE as much as you can to survive but idk if that still works rn. there are situations where you can use burst right before the orb appears but to do that you'd need yo time it perfectly and actually have your burst (which is challenging to do in raiden's 2nd phase since she likes to take away your energy constantly).

well i dont see any1 commenting how this was possible. So basically idk what Yelan did but i do know that if u use ur special atk ... 'Q' i think? where we go in lil animation ... we can dodge that atk. But timing needs to be right ... its easy. so u press Q be4 that atk reaches you. I think if u go in ur inventory we can dodge it as well (didnt try this so idk). But activating ur burst be4 atk hits u def works. We can dodge Raidans attak as well as Wanderer boss.

The thing you talk about is called invulnerability frame (i-frame). Using Q or Dash grant invulnerability for the duration, but this isn't possible vs Raiden. Because she freezes time for a few seconds and also drains all energy before initiating that attack.

Simple explanation: In co-op, whenever raiden uses the one hit ko slash, it targets a random player out of the number of players you have in your team, sparing the other players with partially lowered health. In this case, the developers probably missed this but the slash apparently targeted an already dead player (either Nahida, Sara or Furina), which means Yelan survives with partially lowered health seen at 2:25. In single player mode however, you would've died anyways as you're the only one the code can choose from. And now i just realized that someone's already said this in the comments
