To be fair, they are there to make money at the end of the money and she basically told them that she had spent 950,000 (400,000 dollars that she mentioned where it went and 550,000 that went somewhere) and sold 50,000 worth. -900,000 dollars isnt gonna look good to investors. Yeah they want to find people who need the investments, but they also want it to be a high chance of profit. The main thing with the meditation app was that they still had tons of money left and were seemingly successful, so they weren't there looking for an investment because the company needed help but instead so they could just have one of their names on it.

Remember they are business people they try to uphold a public image even if they are doing the bad things they diss or worse behavior. Until you have such a brand that cannot die due to how reliant people are on it, you have to act like a good guy in the public eye. Daymond from what I remember is in fashion focused sectors and those can change up more than something like Amazon. So even if he has millions to billions he could bleed money from a bad image. Obviously some of the sharks know how to use a bad image to gain popularity like the deal devil himself Kevin O’Leary. That’s why I appreciate the sharks who just don’t care about moral high grounds cause they know everyone sitting there has stupid amounts of money and is doing some questionable things

It's rich hearing Daymond John say "You could have taken a shot from people who now lost their homes" to that girl. I used to work as a customer service agent for a company that he basically licenced his name to. This company ran a multitude of "How to get rich" or "How to be successful" pyramid schemes. Daymond John's was about his "Tips to success." What this company did was intentionally targeted low income areas with their mailers, promising free stuff like ipads, TV's, ECT if you show up which was a total lie btw. They got around it by entering people into a raffle to "win" the free item, but the actual winner was a plant. Anyway people who showed up got basically pushed to buy these "get rich quick" schemes that costed upwards of hundreds of dollars to buy in to. On the customer service side we'd get calls all the time from people who signed up, but couldn't afford to pay it, people who mortgaged their homes, sold their cars, ECT in order to do so. I don't think Daymond John was ever directly involved with selling this stuff, but he did licence his name to this company so he really doesn't care about "the little guy" like he puts on. Oh and another funny thing, we'd get calls from people literally every day talking about only wanting to go to the Daymond John one just to meet him and pitch their invention/business idea. Like some random person off the street was going to get Daymond John to invest in their business lol. It makes me wonder how many people actually showed up to his for the "Tips to success" thing he was selling.
