i think the funny part is that... yes this would work, you put in a negative stimulus related to an action you do, this causes you to subconsciously not want to do that thing for fear of the negative .... however if you're actively doing it to yourself, it doesn't work... it needs to be a subconscious response, otherwise you're just a masochist.
