I’m learning all about patience. I am growing though bc I can tell that I’m better than what I used to be, but I still have a long way to go. Patience is probably the hardest thing for me….and, of course, God knows it. I hate the old ‘I prayed for a spouse and had to wait’ story, because it always ends with the person getting married. Show me someone who prayed for decades and made it through depending on God alone, even when He didn’t provide the desired outcome. That person has a strong faith. What about someone who prayed for healing- and didn’t get it, or prayed for a child and never had one. Heartbreak hurts, and it can wear you down. Get real. Sometimes God says no, and you will never get that thing in life that you want most, that is only available to you in this life. No one ever talks about that, because there is no happy ending, other than a life spent following God. But it still hurts. But it doesn’t get lots of likes on social media.

It wouldn't be faith if there was always a happy ending in this life :) And it's not faith because of the ending either, it's because of the trusting. I know plenty of real life people who prayed, and prayed and prayed, and hit their 50's, 60's 70's died, still single. Or were sick and died, never healed in this world. Or stayed in a poverty state. They still believed and hoped for the desires of their heart. They still believed in the goodness of God. They still believed God's timing is perfect, and He knows better than we do. The testimonies are out their. Maybe they don't get much exposure because that is NOT the answer people want to hear... I'm 43, and I have yet to see how my story will end. I may never get a husband, at my age, children are probably not gonna happen either. Still I press towards deeping my faith in God. Because when it's all over, in the light of eternity, none of this will really matter, will it?

Just remember whether the answers are yes and there is waiting, just the waiting or no, it's not really about the end result. It really is about sharing yourself with God and letting the journey transform you. Every time I take my needs to God He transforms me.

Thanks for your honest comment. We certainly can’t completely understand the mystery of God’s ways-why sometimes he says ‘yes', sometimes ‘no', and sometimes ’not yet’. I think the Galatians verse from this video reminds us that the harvest is ‘in its proper time.’ For some of our prayers/waiting, that isn’t until Heaven. And perhaps most importantly, as the video presenter mentions, the true harvest is our growing connection to Jesus, even through the hard seasons of waiting. Hope that helps!
