Brilliant. Thanks man. You’re on the bridge pick-up, I see, and certainly I hear it. I notice in recent video of Jimmie that he’s using the neck pickup. But he says in interviews that he uses just the treble pickup, and derives tone from where he picks and how he picks (with pick or without). I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this. Again, thank you so much. Brilliant lessons. The real deal.
@JakeAndrewsMusic
@JakeAndrewsMusic 2 жыл бұрын
I agree, he gets a lot of variations in his tone depending on how close or far from the bridge he is picking-that's been my experience of watching him play. Thanks so much!

I stumbled across your channel a week or so ago and I’ve gotten a lot out of it so far. It’s surprising that you don’t have a huge following of subscribers (yet). Killer content and stories you have on Albert King as well. Do you ever listen to any Ronnie Earl? He’s probably one of my all time favorite players. It’d be killer if you did a lesson/play through on something of his. Maybe baby doll blues or something, they’re a few licks and lines in his stuff that I just can’t figure out.

@@JakeAndrewsMusic Amen😎 Great Gtr/Amp & Sweet lesson! Most important them skills! His rhythm and timing plus fingers vibrato etc the real tone exclamation! Luv it.. I’m 64 started play’n backup/rhythm for my older brother I shared a room with.. man he was a natural and kept on me by showing till I got it right.. if I did he’d show me a scale or how to bend etc priceless! He was a better player so it was awesome to learn it all from him! He stressed importance getting it right till you nail it Too many players go right into lead and fast playing w too many notes you gotta have that groove then u can “make luv to it” as he says 😎 This dude did this lesson right a true brother in the blues🤙
