This was always one of my favorite shows as a kid. The depth of the main characters, the gravity bearing down on them from the villain, the way it harkened to He-Man and Power Rangers. I thought the show ended with Skeleton King fusing with a cosmic rainbow worm, maybe that was the cliff hanger mentioned, but I was always disappointed in the lack of a finally.

To be fair Samurai jack is kinda unique. Genndy the creator, basically made most of the shows we watched...and he knew full well he influenced MILLIONS of kids now adults who always dreamed of Samurai jack getting the conclusion it deserved. Damn now that I think about it...why is he not cartoon network president. I really cant see anyone else being better suited.

I'm afraid not. In Samurai Jacks case, Genndy Tartakovsky(I hope I spelled that right) had wanted to finish it when he and CN had a falling out... But when CN, under new management, approached him about the possibility of reconciliation, he accepted on the condition he get to finish Jack... Among other things, such as the rights to some of his creations... Still waiting on the Proposed Sequel to ANOTHER CN 90s classic, honestly, but it's been 8 years, so it looks like the Billy&Mandy Sequel won't be happening... Which is sad, because that series left us all with so many questions... As for SRMTHFG, the creator reportedly has no desire to revive or complete it, having apparently finished it in a limited run Comic... That nobody apparently knew existed. I first learned that a comic version existed a few months ago, but it's out of print, and naturally very hard to find, and only the final volume is considered Canon... But yeah... It's like the show Dave The barbarian... The fans want it back, but the creators? Not so much...

This show was so good. So, so good. The way it was unceremoniously dropped is criminal and I wish there was a way we could legitimately tell Disney that we want to see this thing brought to a close. Seriously, they have BILLIONS of dollars, they can spare some funding for a cult classic that only needs one season (or a movie, according to Nieli) to officially wrap up and then it can go back into storage where they apparently feel it belongs. So many fanfic writers (myself included) have reached the point where we want to try and write out what a final season would be like, particularly fleshing out the likes of Jinmay. The poor girl was the first non-main character introduced, FIRMLY established as Chiro's main love interest...and then she was dropped like a sack of potatoes. I can only imagine what Nieli had in store for her, so we're forced to do it ourselves. I hope with all my heart and soul that the Hyperforce return to finish their tale, preferably before the deaths of their voice cast. Sad as it is, lot of the folks there are older now, and they ain't gonna live forever. It's gotta get done!

I was SO excited when they didn't just make Jinmay a one and done whose sole purpose was to trick Chiro. Even happier when she was made the teams replacement when they went off to space. Of course none of that matters because the show decided to firmly establish she's worthless and can either only be Chiro's cheerleader or randomly turned into a biker gang bad girl super easily.

This was definitely one of my favorite cartoon shows back in the Jetix days along with Oban StarRacers. The space worm arc was so crazy to watch. Show really left an impact on me at the time. I remember watching the 2012 TMNT and when they were in space, there was an episode which was a direct copy of an episode of srmthfg. It was really amazing to see that the series never died but lived through its creators and their love for it. I really love this series, it was a big part of my childhood (and my childhood fears, some adversaries were frightening for young me). Since we live in an age where reboots and revives happen quite frequently, I sincerely hope that one day, this incredible show will get the ending it deserves.

This show always fascinated me, specially due to how stylish it was Besides that the Skeleton King was the best part of the show, he could go from generic bad guy to tragic figure to pawn to higher powers to the higher power itself and over again AND there was that scene during the finale of season 1 where Shiro finds this room filled with toys and a child outfit, says they used to belong to him "a long time ago" and they move on This scene is never mentioned again, they never explain it and it almost feels like a dream sequence, specially since Shiro himself is a really mysterious character whose entire backstory is given during the intro. Makes me wonder if the scene was meant to hint at a relationship between him and SK or if they just dropped the plot point once they explained what his deal was

Eh.... I like Atomic Betty (began watching it on the Wildbrain channel, btw). I think it was a very creative show during its time. Though, I heard that it was one of the first Canadian flash-animated cartoons to air on Cartoon Network. So... it did predict a weird time for the network (like having shows such as Johnny Test and George in the Jungle being mostly spammed on the network, alongside Chowder, Ben 10: Alien Force and Flapjack. Though, Total Drama (the first three seasons) and 6teen were great underrated gems.)

I think this show and Teen Titians were the first two shows to expose me to anime like content, along with Avatar in Nickelodeon. I adore the Hyper force go show. Yes!! I watched this show on Toon Disney all the time when I was a kid in the early-mid 00s. It was a neat combination of Power Rangers, anime and Godzilla. The monkeys all have awesome weapons and unique personalities that bounce off one another effortlessly, Chiro is a likable lead who gradually form a strong bond with the team and grows into a strong leader, the villain Skeleton King is one of the coolest looking villains in any cartoon ever and the anime-inspired animation style really stands out much like the original Teen Titans show. It's a fun show. Also fun fact one of the writers on this show was Henry Gilroy who also wrote the Bionicle movies and has gone on to work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels with Dave Filoni.

I didn't have cable at the time, but I remember the show's style (and intro song) making a huge impression on me. So when I found it on disneyplus I binged it immediately. In Japanese.. because why not. While it tried to make an overarching plot, even with its episodic nature, it really just drops some plot points, or some winding down episodes in the middle of the action. But all in all it feels loved. It feels like the team had a lot of ideas for the show, so they touched everything at least a bit, but not enough. It was a fun watch, the latinamerican dub of the first seasons bring me nostalgia. A Jetix classic.

It’s rough around the edges. This show needed more time, budget and a really good editor and/or a head writer. Like how Aaron Ehasz made Avatar a masterpiece. The fandom is small-ish but very much alive. this show both scared and intrigued me as a kid and as an adult I absolutely love it and re-watch it regularily. I think it was somewhat ahead of its time. in the last ten years or so, many western cartoons started borrowing from anime and also incorporated heavier story elements and a focus on interpersonal conflict. srmthfg did that more than it was common for western cartoons back then and when I first watched it, it really felt unique and special. I so wish we would get some sort of closure, no matter the format. Idc if it's a fifth season, a movie or a graphic novel, the cliffhanger promised an epic showdown and we got nothing. =/

The fact I still remember this, I like the animation style and the smoothness of it as it gives an anime vibe in it (Like Stitch! for example) but, If I remember correctly in this Cartoon, here's some fun facts that I found about the VAs: -Otto's VA (Clancy Brown) also voiced Mr. Krabs from Spongebob and Lex Luthor from Justice League. - Gibson's VA (Tom Kenny and we already know he voiced Spongebob) also voiced The Ice King from Adventure Time. - Skeleton King's VA (Mark Hamill) also voices the one and only Joker from Batman, Skeletor in the 2021 new He-Man animation and don't forget Skips from Regular Show. - Master Offay was voiced by the Late, Mako Iwamatsu (also voiced Iroh from Avatar and Aku from Samurai Jack).

Not only do I still remember the show fondly, I also happen to remember the only two glaring flaws about it. I say again...I DO fondly remember watching this series, in my teen years and still see it as one of my favorite action shows/American style animes. But despite however much I like it, two things about the show kind of rubbed me the wrong way. 1. The Hyperforce, on occasion was often coldly dismissive about Chiro's human interests; particularly where Antauri is concerned. He openly called Chiro's interest in video games "trivialities," which is an egghead's way of saying that something is stupid. 2. While some aspects of the first flaw is rarely present here, they're still quite noticeable; those being the Money Team always expecting themselves to ALWAYS keep fighting...including Chiro. To elaborate; after the Skeleton King's alleged defeat, Chiro hoped for the idea of him and the team finding another life path. But Antauri (ever the buzzkill he is) says that their team MUST stand vigilant against ALL threats. In short; this is essentially telling Chiro he can never go further with his relationship with Jinmay, start a family and find another career. Antauri's way of thinking is exactly why I came to hate superheroes...because they never find time for themselves, they're forever doomed to their suits

So basically, you hate superheroes for the same reason villains do, you might not realize that, what makes heroes and superheroes so respectable is that they willfully sacrifice their desires, safety, comfort, and luxury to the full time defense and protection of the innocent regardless of whether or not they know they have some kind of defender.

Antauri was definitely the most duty bound of the gang. Though I don't think it was a bad thing, I think it should have been developed and focused on more. At the end of the day he did acknowledge Churo as leader and overtime was willing to support Chiro's need to be a kid. He was like Batman in his need to see the mission as more important, but I think he was more flexible (especially after his rebirth) and had the show focused on it more we could have reached a balance. I agree that that's an ongoing issue with heroes. Not necessarily a bad thing, but an issue to discuss (within the world of the series). Depending on what run you're reading it does come up, but with comics it's dropped and picked up as writers and continuities. CW Superman and Lois is regarded as the best CW show for confronting this (super low bar. To be clear it's still bad and I think it makes a huge mistake in departing from confronting that problem, but the first few episodes do it well). Young Justice does a great job of keeping the fact that heroes need to balance their lives in mind (therapy, retirement, and mental breakdowns happen). Personally my favorite runs to read are where the heroes are friends and gave more fun with fighting crime (rebirth Outlaws and rebirth titans (of course that ends when DC says nope)).

@JayLeeBeanz I think you mean Megamind...but you're right; in THAT story, Metroman wonders if he even has a choice to live a real life. This is something that the Monkey Team doesn't allow for themselves or Chiro, at times. Then again, they ARE part machine and machines are ALWAYS doing what they're programmed to do; never once straying away from it. Antauri seems to be the most guilty of it

This series contains one of the cartoon episodes that legit scared me as a kid and that's Ghosts Of Shuggazoom. I don't think I need to go into more detail with the whole screaming banshees that used to be the citizens, painful transformations, and seeing the main protagonist painfully turning into one thoughout the episode. Nervewracking.

The voice cast and animation team for this was kinda stacked. Like, DAMN. I had no clue because I only watched it in Spanish. Also why would they pin it on merchandise issues when they barely released any merchandise for this? Especially when the whole show is ripe for it?? Colorful characters, robots, transformations. They could've easily pushed for it. It's one thing from the animation industry that I just don't get.
