Sherry this is such a sweet project. I’ll bet there are some of us who have one of those boards but it may not be our taste now or may have aged poorly but the board is still good. But even if we have to buy it what a cheap way to make such a lovely and useful item. And as you said, it can be made into many other things. I have a ton of spices and just got some new ones, it would be perfect to keep all my Mediterranean spices in the same place. Oh and I could see making this with paper that matches the cuisine. This is what you have taught me. I now look at things so differently. Now I’m thinking about other things. I am a canner and I can food year around, especially meat. I get it when it is on sale and buy a bunch then can it. I just got 200 lids delivered today. I need something to store lids in that looks pretty. This project would be good for that too. Bottom line, it is a project for organization and I really need that. lol

You could reinforce cardboard cereal boxes. Another good source is Costco boxes, they are VERY heavy weight. I know Hawaii has a Costco, my daughter was stationed in Honolulu.

When you said bathroom, I thought "How cool would that be to have a "Be Our Guest" type of Courtesy station with a few rolled wash cloths, toothbrushes, travel size toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. ? Just put it out when you have planned or unexpected company staying over night. Would be great for a guest room even. I never would have thought of something like this, if it weren't for you! Thank You for the tutorial and the inspiration! 💙💙
