Some selections to try - Amarillo by Morning, The Fireman (yes, please do this one lol), The Seashores of Old Mexico, All My Exes Live in Texas. George Strait is my all time favorite. I used to see him back in my college days at Southwest Texas when he was first starting out. (Giving away my age here) George Strait was that cute cowboy from the area fronting the Ace In The Hole Band (who still backs him to this day). He has never looked back, never bent for the Nashville honchos.. always did his own style. George is Texas country music, dancehall type, through and through. It's all danceable, hence the cadence you mention. George is legend here in Texas. He did a fairwell tour a few years ago and filled the Cowboys stadium, SRO 100,000+. He is semi retired these days, with a light tour schedule and some resident stays in Vegas. George even made a movie, Pure Country back in 1992. Thank you for trying out George..

Grew up in the north & ended up in the south, so I’ve heard all types of music & enjoyed them all. It’s so great to see a younger generation appreciate it as much as I do. I thank you. Don’t know if you have ever listened to The Righteous Brothers from the 60’s or not but please listen to You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling, it’s the best song ever. He retired from touring a few years back to go back to the rodeo and team rope with his son George Jr aka bubba did some Las Vegas residency shows but is back making music. And I think his son is in his band but I'm not 💯 on that.

I have been blessed to live during the times and hear all of these great artists. 60's-70s-80s-90s to the present. I appreciate most all types of music...especially enjoy pentatonix and Disturbed.....even heavy metal, rock, rap, instrumentals,folk music, country, country rock,acid rock, grunge, ballads, hymns etc. Not something I would expect you would think to hear from a 64 year old woman... Not so much opera although there have been exceptions to that rule. Music can soothe all beasts on this earth to Temperance and Peace if they would just allow it. Bless you!
