I have a fun theory for love potions. You cannot create feelings out of nothing, but you can amplify what's already there. So a love potion won't cause people who completely don't get along to suddenly become lovebirds, it can turn a little crush into full on heart eyes. I'm enjoying that the effects of this love potion is that it takes away some inhibitions. Like, the listener literally cannot keep themselves from spilling theit guts. Little edit: turns out that I was thinking along the right track.

"I never actually drank that potion, I was pretending". A good ol play with plausible deniability to get the speaker to admit their feelings. Just an idea that came to mind from the one audio you did where the speaker pretended to be drunk to make the play on the listener, but now with a switcharoo, hah!

Wow. This is impressive. That in-media-res technique excellently sets the scene, and the lack of parrot exposition reinforces the atmosphere. It's also very cute and wholesome.
