The only single released from the album was "La Grange"., but "Waitin' for the Bus" and "Jesus Just Left Chicago" are very popular and played as much as "La Grange", and since those two songs segue into each other, they are usually played together.

I'm 55 and I tell kids today that they missed the best times ever. 80's were all about having as much fun as possible. Huge parties with almost no fights, general admission concerts for under $10, sex was still safe and most girls were born girls and boys were boys (for the most part, I always wondered about Boy George🤣) Weed was cheap, so was Cocaine. THEN my mom came in and said, hey, I really like that what is it? Well, this was about 20 years ago so maybe 2000. I was 45 and they were 70. Talk about being floored... @@brianwells4507 I see your point but the way I look at it a band with 4 members where only 3 are making music with just a lead singer puts out the same jams. Led Zeppelin minus Plant singing would sort of be a trio if you follow my logic. Imagine Cream with a separate singer same scenario.

@@Tom-ok2rh yep totally true, think Montrose and Van Halen for that matter, neither Eddie or Ronnie could sing? Kenny Wayne Shepard, and Jimmie Vaughan can't either, too. It's just that I think that playing guitar and singing itself, is difficult. But playing guitar and singing simultaneouse, amazingly is incredibly difficult! Takes a whole lot of skill and concentration, especially under the influence of various party substances. 😎That's why my hats off to the band's that can do that, and make it look easy.
@Tom-ok2rh

I think just about everyone who grew up in the 70's and was partying had their "ZZ Top Moment" when they first heard them and through thru their marijuana induced euphoria " wow who the hay-ull IS this?". Mine was on a steaming hot August night in 1974 in Tidewater Virginia. Was riding around in Pepper's blue Duster with the 8-track blasting , and "Sheik" came on. Wholly Schidt were we rocking! I don't get this whole thing people have against ZZ Top. These guys are just straightforward ballbusting rock n' roll.

I was 5 when this came out. My dad and uncles and all their friends would gather on weekends and sometimes even week nights and listen to this whole album on a Marantz stereo system he paid a lot of money for. They would smoke and drink and crank this up! We were on the other side of the hollow panel wall, with 2 Marantz speakers, in our bedroom, listening to this and the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, 3 Dog Night, Boz Scags...I picked up a guitar when I was 14, and started out trying to play the music I grew up listening to. While everyone else was heavy and hard hitting, I was blues, man. Still am. Born in Rolling Fork Ms, Muddy Waters was born and raised there😊it's in my blood and I have these 3 guys amd all my family for this introduction😊
