Let's be real. Most people either can't understand or mishear like 80% of song lyrics in their native language anyway. Only after they like the song do some people look up the lyrics and/or listen to it over and over until they can hear them. And then a lot of songs have weird nonsense lyrics anyway or obscure hidden meaning, so even if you know the words it doesn't even mean you understand them. Point is, there's nothing wrong with listen to music in another language and it's silly for anyone to hassle you about it.

@@livetochange974 most of the mainstream music in English is kinda meh. Which generally happens to be the ones with hard to make out or nonsensical lyrics. The English music I listen to usually are the ones where the lyrics are easy to make out. Because a lot of the music I listen to either has no lyrics or it's in a different language. the ones I listen to in English have to hit me with their lyrics specifically for that reason. Also Minami's voice is so powerful. Her lyrics hit hard but even without understanding them you can usually understand the emotions she's trying to convey with how she projects her voice. In more than one of her songs she sounds like she's crying as she sings it's beautiful. And in others you can feel frustration when she pushes her vocal range or emotions of a similar energy through that same tactic. She's incredibly talented I love her music because she conveys emotion through her voice more than I've ever heard in another singer before.

I can't really say why I'm so biased on Japanese music in general, not really because of Anisongs, not because of JRock, just.... there's just something in their songs that struck that perfection chord to me. @@alexdhamp Yeah don't worry about being weeb or anything, I am not your Japanese is greato DAZE kind of guy, I just think their content output has all the variations I needed instead of needing to spread out to other countries' pop, like I've heard Cpop,Kpop,Epop and other songs but I couldn't get into those for the most part, they got that same monotonous feeling but Jpop or Jrock, or even Jazz from Japanese artists really takes the cake for the incredible music they composed, sure alot of it is inspirations from western/eastern older songs or whatnot but they just seem to be able to make it in such a way that I can't get bored of it. There are definitely good Chinese/Korean/English/Russian/European songs out there that I didn't know of that's probably in my music playlist if its good but as a picky kind of person, so I would only keep a song if its worthy and most of it was from Japanese artists, not to be unfair to other creators but yeah.
