Nigerians keep getting it wrong. The protest that took place in Kenya was for the well being of all Kenyan people regardless of age. In fact I watched a lady in the parliament who herself was a youth confronting the members of parliament with what was wrong with bill in question. She was a direct representative of the youth in parliament. How many Nigerian youths are in such position in the national assembly, probably not many. The Endsars protest was as a result of brutality the youths were receiving from the police, it was not for a cause that benefited the entire citizens of Nigeria. The country is not made up of youths alone that is the reason why Sowore who is spearheading all these unproductive protests do not have yield any result. It is not surprising that some of the Nigerian youths may not be interested in any protest at this time because some of them are benefiting from the current administration in terms of employment, appointments. etc. It will be dumb for a youth who has been thinking of how they can finance their university education for many years that now have the opportunity to do so through the student loan program established by the current administration to go out on the street to demonstrate against the same system. Sowore is an addicted activists who does not know how to channel his talent but only towards anti government activities in the name of revolution. No government in the world will like to see any citizen calling for revolution. Sowore has not learnt a lesson until he falls into the government trap where he can never come out. He has three kids in the United States, is he going to bring them home to participate in the August 5, 2024 protest? The two leaders of Senegal today were known activists fighting the government and without the support of political leaders who are not youths, they will not be there today. Th youths that want to effect chnage always seek the back of leaders that think alike and support any move made buy the youths. Sowore does not have that backing from any political leader in Nigeria. That is the difference. To gain the support effect change you have to be the model to be copied. The way for the youths to effect any change is get involved in politics and show yourself as someone that can lead by example. this is the difference between the two guys leading Senegal now and the Nigerians youths. They both have track records of accomplishment. Does Sowore have the same national record in Nigeria?
