Q. Why do you want to be a Waitress/Waiter and what can you bring to the role?
Q. What are the 7 most important things to consider when carrying out your duties as a Waitress/Waiter?
Q. Why do you want to become a Waitress/Waiter with our restaurant/eatery over the others within the local area?
Q. What skills, qualities and attributes do you have that are a match for a role as a Waitress/Waiter?
Q. Describe the steps you would go through when dealing with a customer complaint?
You Should Also Make Sure You Demonstrate The Following Skills & Attributes During Your Waiter / Waitress Interview:
- An ability to provide excellent customer service;
- An understanding of how to properly deal with a complaint;
- A flexible approach to your work and able to work the hours specified;
- Basic numeracy skills and a positive and cheery attitude whilst at work;
- Able to follow and adhere to food hygiene and safety standards.

@@ayybibi well it did give me confidence but every restaurant is different with rules and people. What I would recommend is to be calm and strong and be ready for anything. Which is useful for practically anything. Personally I passed on the job because I didn’t understand what I was getting into because I’ve never been to that specific restaurant. It really seemed fat paced. But that was 8 months ago. I’ve been working at another food place for 7 months and built up some experience and I would feel confident to take on the waiter job no problem. Hope this help and good luck!

I can't believe in the year 2023, after years of college, nursing , corporate success, I now have to have ADVICE on getting a job waiting tables , which I did my entire time in college. I thought these were the crap low wage jobs that ppl were disparaging not 3 years ago and how they needed to pull themselves up by the boot straps and suddenly now we re back to 2008 where CEOs are applying to work at a restaurant. Smh. This is ridiculous.
