A key word in your video "work". Too many people want the rewards without putting in the effort. I've seen this in many fields, as soon as it gets mildly difficult, they find excuses to stop. In addition, too many artists base everything on emotion. The successful ones worked when they didn't feel like.

Back in the '80s listening to American Top 40 I'd heard that Kenny Loggins forced himself to write every day, even if it's crap. Sometimes pieces of that throwaway material become useful for the next big hit. I'm sure a lot of successful songwriters do that.

I like steady deadlines. A prolific writer was once asked when he wrote. He said only when inspired. The follow up question was when is that. He said every morning at 8am.

I made a living playing Lead Trumpet for many years. Would love to still do it but work dried up and I can't afford to chase work around the country. Anyway, some musicians don't "put out" some nights and I find that unacceptable. Does a Broadway headliner get to coast when they're not feeling it? No, that's part of being an artist - always doing your best. No one wants a bad performance. I've been disappointed in musicians I've worked with when they noticably don't do their best.
