Looking at your design and assessment, my first thought is that I am SO going to have to move everything and redesign. Second thought is what if you took the empty boxes outside and added a solid row of open doorways on ground level foundations between the boxes that run the whole way around the base. The theory is that they would catch the golems from no matter what angle they spawn in at. Furthermore it seemed like they continued to attack the last couple of pieces of the one empty box they mostly destroyed. They might just follow the walls around the base and never go to the main body of the base. Do they still ignore treasures that are not in the same room as the coffer? I'm thinking especially thieves. Finally, thank you for this! The amount of work and thought that went into figuring out all the stuff that you've touched on is understated at best. It's by far the most well thought out and thorough description that I've seen thus far.

Dessert' Gutter. Has terrain defense against star caller. Has terrain height aganist melee & demon orbs. Has in-built 1 way defense to block golem. So even the weakest damage can kill.

Using terrain wall or structure are the best. Immune to destruction from golem nor demon orb. Like the bottom bridge of the noob river.

Great video Wak, I really enjoy these tactical build videos. Curious, though, why you are not using the protected spear guys along the wall like you did in your last purge build? This seemed like a great option. I can see they enemy NPCs are no longer funneled along the outer wall where the spear-men were located, but it would seem you could use a single foundation box with fences on both sides in place of the fences you sued in your random maze. It would be more grindy to build, but it would seem to add a lot of damage and protection for the spear thralls.

Something to consider when using the spearmen for bait, if a bunch of enemies aggro to a spearman they will sometimes push through the fence. I lost a T4 bearer because a number of enemies pushed into his little channel and overwhelmed him. A tweak in design has fixed the issue.

Would you suggest building a separate base for Purge purposes? Seems more convenient than having to repair the main base. Also, what did you have Phoenix & your crew in? The outfit was great!

With the star metal mage I want to say a separate base. But I still need to test. I noticed once the star metal fell and didn’t destroy the ceiling above where it landed. But it would still be scary to have it fall on benches and other placed items.

man I had some problems with my purgebase, tried spawning in a camp 10-20 times, they spawned but gave up after 1min or less, the solution was removing the coin pile an one pillar, since then they could spawn in, personally I see no good reason to go above lvl 5? I just did some lvl 1 to get my Barkeeper. but great video. love you, love your face, hope you have a nice day.

Is the sorcerer shrine and golem workbench destructible? If yes, maybe it would be a good idea to destroy it with a trebuchet before they start spawning meteors/golems?

Nice but its just 3 problem whit the purge. 1 Its far to mutch laag on lv 10 purge, 2, Still not that hot rewards from the purges and 3, that you cant open hte cages to se what thralls you get unless you dealeat a thrall to se what you got if you alredy have max nr of thralls!

How much damage do the jarhead golems do to structures when they attack them with their weapons? How effective would it be just to build a bait box for them and then leave them alone to attack it for a while, perhaps hoping to avoid even having to deal with them (that is, if the structure lasts until the Hand of War is defeated).

Change locations. Keep spamming. Personally I've had what worked for me is while I spam it. I walk out past my base and usually their fence spawns right on me.

Great video, thanks for the tips. I do wonder how much different it is on Console. On Pc you can just spawn in Thralls, level them very easily or anything so you don't have to worry about anything. On Console it sucks to lose just one Thrall due to the hour's to level them. I watched so many Guides on Conan and most say to do this or that not thinking about people on Console because they have a Dev mode so when people on Console try and lose everything it Sucs so bad but on PC its no worries. I really like this game and put in many hour's already but on Console it's hard to take risk due do what you can lose.

@@ROOKIV I really enjoy playing without Commands. The way it supposed to be played. It gets you're heart pumping. I played Valheim for around 1000 hrs and only used Commands once or twice, you can use Console commands on Valheim using Xbox but that was only because of bug's. If you have no worries in the game it isn't as fun. It takes the risk rewards out of the scenario. It's just so many people on PC giving these Guide's yet all use Command's so when playing without Commands you really can't do what their doing. Just wondering how many of these Guide videos would be different if they didn't use Commands.

It's not easy to build a base hard to be reached but still "easy to be reached" at the same hahaha Now I have mine close to serpermeru and Purge has just 2 different spawns hahaha

@@cassiomonks6443 i have mine near Sepermeru too, in the Viewpoint of the Oasis n the purge has spawned in 5 different places but it's impossible to do 2 X level purges in a row, even i remove some defense. They always "decided to retreat" 🙄

Know I rebuild it close to Midnight Groove (I play solo) under some structure to farm some Star Metal (level 9 purge) and it’s going well. I saw some advice saying something like “Purges like/prefer to build in some “not flat” terrain” and it seems to be true.

This is 99% soure u cant do in public server. 1. Not many places have thet falt area 😂 2. If u play one the server i do 1005. Ther is all ready so many bilding ther u cant make the purge spawn lol. So the meta for the purg now. Is actually to use the cover up with the all ready construction thet game have. If not, thet star metal wil destroy u in a few sec. And yes. How aboute all the issu with fall troue fundation. Thrall stuck in the groud. So when funcome fix the game. Purge no thenks.

Out of the past 15 max level purges. I've only had two star metal spawns on my base. It only knocked out a few foundation.
