Deadpool writers are unanimously known as some of the worst writers in the entire industry and that’s why they write Deadpool. Almost all of DPs history is non canon or quickly retconned because all it does is ruin the rest of the universe. While it is nice to believe that the cancer is what's healing him that wouldn't make sense based on the idea that Wade has cancer and his healing factor is the only thing keeping the cancer from actually killing him so I'm pretty sure this is just a misunderstanding from Black panther's point of view.

I think what's going on is that Deadpool's cancer is what hyperactivates and supercharges his healing factor. Cancer (normal cancer) is basically the abnormal and excessive growth of tissue in a body, and also spreads to other cells, taking them over and causing them to grow excessively. The serum that contained Wolverine's healing factor gene somehow reacted with DP's cancer cells to supercharge each other. The healing factor helps keep his cancer in check and DP alive, yet the cancer gets amplified after it spreads to cells containing the healing factor gene, causing it to grow back more intense, which in turn causes the healing factor to work double time. His cancer is the Yang to the healing factor's Yin.

Black Panther is my FAVORITE Marvel Character of ALL TIME, and he is such a good person as well. Possibly one of the most human of all Marvel characters. He always tries to do what's best for his people, and the rest of the world too. Sure he makes mistakes, but that's what makes him human. Black Panther is also one of the most compassionate Heroes.
