Wake Forest will be Jake's 10th school he has coached at in 18 years. His record at WSU was a dismal 23-20 and that was with the aid of super star quarterbacks of Cam Ward and John Mateer who both gave Dickert the middle finger and left his program. Notable 2024 games include losses to powerhouses of New Mexico, Wyoming and coming in LAST PLACE in the Pac-12 in 2024. Christmas has come early - HE IS GONE!

Many WSU fans loved Dickert for the simple, ridiculous reason, that he beat UW, twice during his four years in Pullman. Mike Leach was a much better coach than Dickert, but many WSU fans criticized him because he only beat UW one time in all his years that he was coaching in Pullman. Never mind that Leach beat Oregon FOUR years in a row, and actually nearly beat them SIX years in a row. Unlike Dickert, what Leach never did was lose 7 of the last 8 games in the season. And, although Leach did lose against subpar teams, like when he lost to Portland State, he never lost three games in a row, to subpar teams, like Dickert did this season. I mean, what's so great about beating UW, only to end the season with three losses in a row to Oregon State, New Mexico, and Wyoming???? Dickert preached "LOYALTY". He said in a press conference that he wants his players to know that, "EVERYTHING you want to accomplish can be accomplished from Washington State." Well, I guess he did not believe in his own advice....

I am so sick. Success at Wazzu means big money someplace else. Kyle Smith, Jen Greeny, Jake, Mateer……………….anyone who doesn’t think we can recover doesn’t know Cougar Country. We have before, we will again. Jake had us convinced. At least he didn’t leave in the middle of the night.
