Growing up in Zeelandia, on this beautiful island of wakenaam. Riding to the high school 7 miles to and from in whatever weather it is. This island, the country lifestyle has taught me some real life lessons and discipline that no University can teach in the world! It will forever be home and I wish more people and children of the 1st world countries can see what it's like growing up without having access to "fancy things". (Spoken for myself and I'm not trying to offend anyone)

My goodness!!!!!. I saw some comments and I am starting to think some of my relatives are here in this thread!. I remember like it was yesterday... there was sand though and beach had extended out quite a bit... My Great Grandfather was "Gunn" and had a shop. At that time the house was exactly where there was a break in a seawall and it looks like you are close to it.. I remember those stairs in the background... I got excited and I am only at 8 seconds in this video!!!! thank you so much... so many memories here and the place where I went each year when school was out...my BEST memories as a child are here and if you were in zeelandia you would remember the "sound" of the tiny waves lapping on the sand in the morning and the sound the bottom of the boats make...this is STILL the most soothing sound I have ever witnessed!!!!!!!!

I was showing my parents the videos of Wakenaam, and my mom is from Zeelandia village, where you ended the last video and started this video. She really wanted you to go a bit more from where you stop, to see the house she grew up in. Yes, you could have gone maybe about a half mile or less to reach the very end. My mom grew up at the piece you stopped, and she was remembering how she would go into the water to bathe. She also went to Zeelandia primary school you past. My parents and I went back a few years back (Jan 2018), so I got to see where my mom grew up. The water was very low when we went and the dirt road is how it was back then, minus the small flooded part. But we went straight to Zeelandia, and we did not get to see the front part where the stellin was, or where you went in last video. My parents says the beginning part you started traveling through Wakenaam, in the last video, changed up a lot from when they last went, which was in the early 90s. There is a lot of new hot colored houses. Before they only saw the old houses, maybe few newer house. My dad would joke how he had to go way in the bush to find my mom to marry, and indeed he went to the end lol. As you were singing the song, he was singing along to how he also went to marry a gyal from Wakenaam lol. I went there for the first time in 2018, and I was amazed how much beauty it had, especially the view of the water.
