Really been thinking about trying wax. I ride more skim style. And my board has the foam grip stuff like on most boards. Not sure if I should use wax on that foam stuff or not. I ride a Hyperlite HiFi.

OKWakesurfing try it man! You can put the wax on top of foam as well. I also just posted a video on how to take the foam stuff off if you don’t want it! It’s on my Instagram @dylanayala

You dont put a little wax on your back pad? Why is 70 and below better? Less messy? More sticky? Nice vid tho keep them coming!

Hustlas Story should have explained that better, I’m sorry! The 70 and above melts super easy and isn’t as hard of a wax for me. I like 70 and below cause it stays hard no matter the temp of the water. I do also add some to the back pad!

@@DylanAyala wow. I realized i never had notifications turned ON for youtube replies. 😅 So I think what you said above is opposite of what wax companies are advertising. They say cold wax is softer than warm wax. And if you apply cold wax in warm water its subject to melt (which is not qhat u describe). I have only used warm punt and i surf in relatively warm water, and i have noticed it seems to get sort of "slipery sticky" at times. I like HARD sticky traction like you but i havent been able to experience that. So I guess im confused on how cold wax can be harder considering its a softer wax.... 😔
