We saw Peter and Ollie yesterday going for a walk!! (During your no fun morning) Ada had an appointment at Boston for lung transplant evaluation debrief. It's a haul from CT for 1 appt, but it was exciting to see 2/3 of the Frey life. 😉 We were so surprised we didn't introduce ourselves. 🤦

I too am in the hospital at the moment, actually, I'm just a few doors down from you. Lisa from PT told me about your page the other day. Hello!! Yeah, being here can be very tiring, and there definitely are those days were I'll wake up and just want to be left alone or I'm just incredibly irritable, but PT and the nurses, and doctors just keep coming in and some days we barely get any time to ourselves, but I know they do what they gotta do to help us. Hope you're feeling better soon!

I bet the noise gets draining. You enjoy a quiet home life with just you two and Ollie. Which, BTW, think about you daily because I have your quotes all over the walls throughout our house and my pic of Ollie hangs in my bedroom. My whole family knows you just by me sharing your vlogs. They know CF affects me deeply after losing my best friend to it when she was 20. Lung transplants weren’t yet available as an option. I love what research and treatments there are now. And I do personally pray for you. It is an honor. You are strong and make me smile everyday. I never forget to “laugh every day.” 😀

Hey, med student here so I thought I could give some insight as to why rounds are earlier some days. It really depends on where your room is compared to where most of that doctors patients are. Rounds take a few hours so if you are the patient we start with you will be seen 2-3 hours earlier than the last patient!

My last hospital stay, they came in every morning at 4am to draw blood. I got so angry with them. The first morning (or night I should say) I had been up all night (no one told me how to turn off the light and I didn't want to bother the nurses over a light (when they came in to hang a new IV bag, they did turn it off but by then it was like 1:30am)... I told them to leave me alone. They refused and did their job. I know they were just doing their job, but why not draw blood at a normal hour like 9am, when most people are awake. The hospital is literally the hardest place to get rest in.

when my grandmother was in a nursing home she would often get angry and frustrated about things... my solution, and I was a teenager at the time... was to give her a stuffed animal she could safely throw across the room. it allowed her to vent her frustrations without breaking the furniture... so maybe throwing something soft will help, and ollie will make a game out of it.

All over the place sorry to hear that. I know what anxiety can be like too. It sucks! Your channel caught my attention but I noticed you don’t have any video’s up... what about putting videos up of how you feel, also to focus on positives in life? I am quite passionate that mental health needs to be talked about more & not a lot of youtubers talk about it and we do say that usually things are best said out loud rather than cooped up inside us :) Hope you have better days ahead ❤️😁 xx

I’m admitted quite frequently as well, and I agree that after a while it’s difficult having doctors or staff come in so early. But like you said, they’re just doing their job and I have to remind myself of that. Oh and I get red man syndrome from Vanco too! Oh, that is awful. Definitely slowing the infusion down and pre-dosing with Benadryl helps. Praying you get to go home soon

HOSPITAL IDEA they should get those big hamster bubbles to let CF patients go out of their rooms and be able to go outside and walk around or they should make tubes or tunnels for CF patients to be able to go out and about and go outside maybe into a garden dome so they can get fresh air and see the world and not be stuck in their rooms for so long and you can schedule dome time so you don't risk being too close to another cf patient

Aww yes the morning “mad at the world, hospital stay version” totally get that way when it’s around the 5th day of inpatient. I call it a stir crazy anger. Haha being in the same room in a length of time creates the crazy anger come out of me. Not exactly angry but just like ugh another day in the inpatient room what’s next, but pushing through it strong with joy in mind. It’s a hard balance. I truly empathize it.
