5am wake up is hugely mental, when I watch videos like this people preface it with saying how hard and awful it will be, which sets it up to be. Realistically you are getting the same amount of hours, you are just structuring your day differently to maximise very unproductive dead space hours, like in the evening where people easily spend 5-8hrs on their phone rather than on wellbeing.

I think this waking up 5 am thing depends on the geographical location, season, gender etc. When I am near sea side, I have 0 problem or tiredness and naturally wake up at 5. But I cant imagine doing it in colder climates like where I live now.

I got tired only by watching this video, haha. On a more serious note, your content manages to motivate me to get some sh*t done and be more organized in my everyday life. I really struggle with my sleep pattern (going to bed late, waking up late) and I could never do such a challenge, but I liked the part about leaving your phone away and doing something productive right after waking up instead of aimlessly scrolling on social media.

Have a fruit/vegetable juice at 7 am ; get ready for my day and have breakfast around 9 am and start working at 10-5. Go to sleep at 9/10 pm ❤ Love it and I wouldn’t like to do it any different.

That was awesome really!! Starting your day by 5am is always healthy but it needs strong intentions which is the key to all of this. With strong intentions comes self-honesty and you take lots is interests in doing it on daily basis. But most of all, you are so sweet in putting this all together in video. Indicates dexterity, quality, dedication, persistence, honesty, productivity. What else. Guys, please give sincere appreciations to this girl 👏👏.

Dear Becca watching your content is so uplifting because your films and content are so perfect. I lost my job and am depressed for 2 years now and watching someone else’s life being perfect really motivates me to live a better more healthier life. I get really depressed when I look at social media and esp Instagram KZbin so I need to get off because it does significantly impact my mental health by showing a perfect side of life that is just unattainable and not real. Thank you for being real human grounded authentic and vulnerable. It really helps us normal humans who don’t have perfect lives but watch your curated short films wishing everything can be aesthetic and just perfect. You’re truly an artist and watching your videos is real therapy. But sometimes we just have to fal in love with reality as much as we do a creative piece of art.

Nah, getting up @ 5 is for us that get up at 5 naturally. Faking it when it isn't you will just burn you out and make you feel like a phony. Yes most successful people are up by 5, but NOT to "be successful", we'll all insomniacs and sleeping till 5:00 is the best we can do ( i.e. at least I got up @5 and not 4 !). We become successful to fight off the painful boredom caused by our sleep disorder. God if you can sleep in DO IT please, I'm SOOOOOO jealous, I'd give good money for a single morning sleeping past 7

For years I had a job where I had to wake up at 3 or 4 am, daily. Doing that for many years, it really took a toll on my overall health and wellbeing. I swear I never felt truly rested. Even if I got a full nights sleep. Around 2:30p I would be exhausted, trying to stay awake. I had to take a nap if I wanted to go out with friends on my Fridays to enjoy a late night. Working out regularly did help a lot. But, I don't miss it at all lol. When I see these challenges I giggle a little because I would never choose this if I didn't have too. I think I really thrive off a later in the day schedule. Thanks for sharing your experience and being honest about how it worked out for you. Always enjoying your videos. Mochi is so dang cuuteee. Love from SoCal.

Agh thank you so much. The real truth about 5am morning routines!! There is so much PRESSURE from the internet to do this when actually you end up slugging at 9am and needing a nap because your brain has stopped working. I understand people who have to do this for their own commitments but damn to some of us it ain’t worth it. Relearning that productivity can be found at any time of the day has been tough. Just my opinion.

I agree with this! I think you can be productive whenever! Sometimes with my work schedule I won't work until 4pm. I'm fine waking up at 8am and I'm still extremely productive before work. There would be absolutely no point for me waking up at 5am those days!

Hey Becca, I’m becoming a big fan of your videos, the beauty, the aesthetics, and the style is just so mesmerizing. And the best part is the tips and the lifestyle improvement content mixed it makes watching the videos feel like it’s a treat but a healthy treat. 🥰. For this video, I liked how you introduced the link, and for the challenge itself. I think what you said in the end really summarized it well. Some people who need to wake up this early like for work or daily commute, it probably bust becomes their requirement and second nature. But for some, maybe they just have different needs and priorities. I liked how you stuck to the 3 habits that you wanted to. However, I feel like something that would have helped is just allowing yourself to drink the coffee and maybe starting with the 2 habits instead of 3 and then gradually adding the 3rd habit on. Perhaps the body would have adjusted better, and maybe this will work better for people trying to get to the 5 am morning routine and stick to it for a longer period of time. I liked how you gave yourself that comfort of naps and really listened to your body and tuned it to what it needed. That is an important skill to learn for all of us too. Awesome video! Please keep on giving us the good stuffs. 😊

I have been waking up at 5 am for a few months now, because my husband has to start work at 6 am and wakes up at 5. So I naturally wake up with him or as he is getting ready, but because we sleep early and he HAS to wake up at 5, it has become a routine for us and it feels so normal. Before this, I used to think that people who wake up so early are crazy 😂 (like my brother, he has to wake up at 4😮), but now it is the best thing, we get done with everything super early and while there is still sun, we can go out and do some activities 😊 we live in Germany and in winter it gets dark very early ☺️

If you do something for long enough your mind and body will adapt. I never thought I would be a morning person. But I have been starting work at 4am now for almost 8 years which means getting up at 3:30 am (work is within walking distance) and also doing vigorous exercise at the gym for 45 minutes after work, usually running or cycling. I used to go to bed at all hours of the morning (which I miss) and get up whenever I felt like it which is not good for your mental health. Trust me, if I can do this anybody can!

I have done that for a while when I was studying at university, just to get that bit of piece in the morning, with no cars around, you can do your sports, you can actually eat something for breakfast, no matter hot or cold, I would read or learn stiching, oder crocheting, or do some yoga for an hour, I could do my makeup and I swear I was never that much in control of myself, and I am a really messy person. But now that I live with my boyfriend its impossible to do that. He doesnt wanna wake up that early, and I am not allowed to do so, since it would disturb his sleep, and he says he would have a whole hour less of freetime. But like that its only me being moody and tired in the evening waiting to go to bed, just sitting on my phone. How did you get your boyfriend to let you do this? Did he wake up with you, or was it just because he was off to work, somewhere else? Or do you have the kind of realationship were you actually support each other :/?

Seems like she can do this because they don’t have a shit relationship.. that sounds absolutely ridiculous, are you sure this isn’t an excuse you’re making up for yourself. You said you wait till going to bed? Why not go to bed earlier and you’ll naturally wake up earlier without an alarm?
@dreamer6943
@dreamer6943 9 ай бұрын
Sheesh girl! You have serious boyfriend problems. You don't "get him to let you do" anything. You already have the right to live life how you want to just by existing, you don't need his permission. That he expects you to do as he says is a massive red flag that he's a control freak and this will become an abusive relationship. Never tolerate this nonsense. What time you get up should be a total non-issue for any reasonable person who you live with. Obviously be respectful, don't wake up after hitting the snooze button on your alarm multiple times causing it to go off every 10min, don't play loud music, sit on the bed with a bounce to put your socks on or go round the bedroom slamming drawers shut finding your clothes - that stuff would be unreasonable. Aside from that, you do you. If he has a problem with you being yourself, he's not for keeping and you should find someone who respects you instead. Good luck sister, I hate to hear of people in your situation and I hope you can break free because this type of control creeps up on you unnoticed and one day you'll turn around and you won't recognise the person you've become, a shadow if who you are. So stand firm, be yourself and if he has a problem with that ditch him. ❤

This is the most honest morning routine video I have ever watched (and I've watched a lot 🤣🤣)...loved it!! Thank you Becca. I hate waking up to an alarm...I naturally wake up around which is good....5am just sounds completely horrible to me though 🤣🤣🤣

Hello Becca, I really love your video and I'm very sure that you are a inspiration for us. I want to say that I missed so much your video with "what I eat in a day/week" and maybe this comment can help you to give you a reminder whith those videos. Thank you for everything you do and take care❤️

I wake up around 5:30-6am, take a shower, get dressed, make breakfast, pack a lunch and am out of the house by 7:15 for my 30m drive to work. There is no napping in the middle of the day. I’ve been doing this for 25 years? There is no time to get a morning workout in aside from a 10-20 yoga session at home. I disc golf after work when I can but that pushes dinner later in the evening and I hate eating later than 6pm. Bedtime is 10:30 at the latest if I don’t fall into a rabbit hole of self help videos! LOL

Such a great video! I absolutely LOVE your fur baby- so adorable and cute! What breed is he/she? I have to agree that the early start is definitely more productive if you want to add in extra things along with your other duties but it's just not for me. I am naturally a night hawk but also realized that my brain is most alert during the day between 8am-1pm. I am a student so I try to maximize those hours for study. I also work from 3pm- 1130pm so waking up at 5 or even 6 everyday would not work with my current position.

Loved the video!! I wonder all the time, some say to wake up early to make the most of the day, but what about the people who stay up later to make the most of the day? I prefer to stay up later and work and then wake up later. But I feel it's the same, just different time blocks. When I used to work at 4 am, I'd be in bed by 6 pm. Lights out by 7pm latest and still woke up feeling horribly tired. I just feel morning is not for all, maybe?

Totally valid to prefer the evenings! For me personally, I've noticed that I feel best when I have some time to myself (like 2h) before heading to uni or work in the mornings. When I have to rush and don't even get a proper breakfast it, I get overwhelmed easily by public transport, bright lights and such. But I also get staying up late and having some me time then. Honestly this 5am thing is a product of capitalism/hustle culture and is supposed to make you feel insuffienct. Everybody is different in their needs and that's great.

i have to get up at 5:30 am because I leave for work at 6:15 am. I have not find a morning routine yet I am soo tired every day. The problem is that I can not go to bed so early. I think when you work from home it is way easier to wake up early and do routines because you don´t have to leave the house at a certain time.

Alright, so the whole 5 am thing does work. I am 14 and usually go to bed around 11:00 pm (not anymore cuz like it’s summer, now I’m going to bed at like 1-2:00 am) and I woke up at 5:00 am and sometimes earlier. My body just started doing and I don’t know why cuz my alarm was at 6:45. The first few days I literally hated and I was so tired at school, but the more I was doing it, the more energized I was and I had more time to myself before school (7:45 am is when it starts). I had more time to do my makeup and skincare, time to clean a little, time to practice piano for 30 mins, etc. and I noticed at school I was more focused too (I don’t focus well) and my grades started going up a little. When I woke up at 5:00 am I had more time to stop being grumpy (I’m NOT a morning person at all) and so at school I was being nicer to my friends and just anyone I spoke too. Plus at the end of the day, I would be more tired and so I would start going to bed earlier. Also, I don’t know if this has to do with anything, but I noticed my skin being more clean and smooth? Idk but waking up at 5:00 helped a lot. Now I’m in summer and losing all the habits but- idc lol

Tip for anyone getting up early, get some sun when you first wake up if you can. It could be for only 30 seconds, but it will make a world of difference
