Even though I have curly hair and not straight hair, I'd also like to add on to brush it out dry for those straight haired people (hair isn't water logged/at its weakest, though this rule doesn't apply to curly people) or put some leave-in conditioner in it if you are to brush it wet out of the shower. One more thing, rise your hair with cold water before leaving the shower, causes less frizz (if you happen to get that) and causes less damage to your cuticle before brushing it out. :) I've done a ton of research on how to care for my own hair and, in turn, picked up a bit about hair in general/straight hair.
