I'm surprised there was no mention of Halloween at the end of October. When I was in Kyoto in 2016, Halloween seemed very big with young people dressing in 'horror' costumes and giving away little gifts.

denshi jisho is a really good dictionary site (jisho, 辞書) is dictionary I won't lie, kanji (written 漢字) are very common and a whole other story, but hiragana ひらがな is no more complicated than learning your 12 times tables and will help you read SO much. Search 'NHK easy Japanese' or Japaneseclass . jp for help with hiragana and even more.

Very useful phrases in the short but interesting video clips, thoroughly enjoyed them. Konomi せんせい presents the show very well, she sounds the words clearly and translates the words and phrases accurately. Well done. Look forward to more video clips. 👍👍👍

so im going to move to japan for high school and i just wanted to ask, are high schools in japan as serious about fitness and heath and is it as tough and rigorous training as they put it out to be in the animes?
