I like the overall design of the Doomsday the most. 8 rounds, pump action, the saw spins as you prime. That's a lot of pretty slick toy for the money.

It’s sadly quite flimsy though. After minimal use two of the priming mechanisms on my ones now randomly fire darts when you’re trying to prime the blaster. The smaller ones are my favourite because they don’t have this problem. Doomsday is a nice design, I just hope that they can bring out a new batch which isn’t faulty. Unless I just got really unlucky.

$25 for the Dreadhammer is absolutely an incredible price. Xshot have been absolutely crushing the low price high(ish) performance market lately. Especially with The Longshot still available and easily modable. I honestly hope to see more from them soon like The Longshot

The fact the dread hammer can be tripoded easily also means its an amazing chokepoint piece, for when you need to hunker down. Get something that'll fire a big burst of darts connected to the side with the picatinny connectors for when you need a big burst, a venom pro on the side for when you need a bigger ROF and range, and well, its pretty verastile in objective holding. the only complaint I would have? the connectors look a bit fragile. I know it ain't nerf plastic, but I feel bigger connectors would help a bit with stability.

see if you can attach 3 Dread Hammers togeather and make a massive turret piece, then hollow out the inside of all 3 charging handles, put a dowel rod through them to make it all one handle, link the triggeres some how, then mount 2 insanity tripods to the 2 outside blasters making a stationary 3 barrel slam fire turret to mow down all your enemies

The DOOMSDAY is actually really cool ! Unlike the tricera blast, the skull is actually functional and you can actually see through it and use it as a ironsight. Also if you grab it by the handle the DOOMSDAY becomes a cool melee weapon! if you slowly swing it at the wall from side to side you can see that the saw blade will always touch the wall first and not the plastic, also the saw blade is made out of foam so you can use it as a cool nerf melee weapon. If you're close to an enemy you can just grab it by the handle and use it a cool long range melee weapon 😎. to be honest the only downside is the DAM TRIGGER! The trigger has two lumps just there to look cool but those two lumps really hurt if you try to spin it, it just hurts your finger🤕. Because when I saw that gorgeous zombie strike looking grip, you know I had to spin it 😅. and like with the brain saw, as soon as you take this thing out you're going to feel like the coolest one on the battlefield 😎

Are they practical? Not really. Are they cool? Fuck yeah! I've seen them on shelves for a few months now and just being next to nerfs new whateverthellitscalled not ultra blasters its safe to say hasbro forgot what fun is especially now when Zombie strike, Doomlands, that weird short lived aliens line is dead and Mega are all dead now. They were all gimmicky but fully functional compared to the what they're doing now for the kid appeal stuff. Personally as a 90s kid seeing these beasty blasters side by side X Shot won. Quality may suck but price and badassery its no contest. Hell, the last purely cool factor blaster seen from Nerf is probably the rex stryfe thing, which had to get to try to make 40k Salamander flavored bolter.
