Well you try getting hold of a Dartzone product for a reasonable price outside the USA. They have a tiny presence in the global market, and most have to use international shipping to get hold of one, often along with import taxes. That bumps up the price substantially. Until DZ get their act together, they will remain a small fish in a big pond.

Here's the issue. If you live in the USA, Dartzone are a viable option. But they don't have much of a presence in the rest of the world, and most people on the planet do not live in the USA. So DZ aren't serious competitors to Hasbro, and won't be until people can buy them in the same places as Hasbro products, ie everywhere. A woeful lack of retailers, limited stocks, plus international shipping and import taxes can make DZ blasters extremely uncompetitive. They need to get their act together if they want to play with the big boys.

This is the thing i love about Dart Zone. Like the blasters cater to people who wanna shoot it stock and people who mod their blasters. They made the blaster good enough as it is in stock form but if you wanna take it further you can. Unlike Nerf which sure you can mod it but they don't encourage you to.

The Maxim Pro is really neat, but my favorite blaster of the year so far is the Desperado! Finally a practical retail implementation of a two stage trigger pistol style blaster that works great, and makes a perfect sidearm to the Villainator ❤🎉

Theres a really easy mod that you can do that bumps the fps of the desperado up like 10fps. There's like a plastic tab near the barrel that slows darts down. If removed, you can get 70-80fps. It's really good.

Dart Zone really used Stockade tier motors, so they burn out. Same with the Omnia and MK3. Luckily the Stryfe X doesn't have that problem

At least people outside the USA can buy Hasbo's blasters, unlike Dartzone, who have virtually no market presence anywhere else. No major retailers, just a very few small independent shops dotted around the globe, making them hard to get hold of and expensive when you include international shipping and import taxes. Meanwhile, Hasbro blasters are everywhere, and X-Shot aren't far behind.

It isn't nerf, but i found my favorite sidearm blaster ever. the MechWarrior Wing (or Wingman if you're a titanfall fan). it has a super smooth hammer, the reload makes the rail pop out which is sick, and its only downside is its darts are one-of-a-kind. oh yeah, and it only comes with one cylinder, so you have to manually refill it when you pop it out ounstead of just grabbing another from a pouch.

The one thing this has over the Venom Pro that really keeps me off of it: No Talon compatibility. Not using Talons is fine if you're just getting into the hobby and not already bought into Talon as your go-to mag solution, but for someone who's been around since before the Talon even existed... yeah it's a tough pill to swallow.

I like this better than the venom. The venom is definitely cooler for having that much power in that small a package but in practice I'd actually prefer semi-auto at these ammo capacities and as you noted the rev system is more comfortable here. I was looking into one of the kits that convert the venom into an smg but I'll probably get this instead.

Heya Walcom, not related to this video (Though I did watch it a couple days ago!), but there were a couple new Adventure Force blasters I saw today at my Walmart that I haven't heard much about- the Rogue (A Buzz Bee drum-fed flywheeler) and the Desperado (A Dart Zone, pistol sized, 6 dart cylinder 'Triggerfire' mechanism style). I picked up the Desperado for the hell of it since it was like 8.88 and it's pretty fun though not a performance beast.

I’m largely in agreement about the translucent plastics used for the body of the Maxim, though it’s more out of an aesthetic preference rather than a purely performance-centric preference. Also, maybe it’s just me, but…does anyone else think it’s kinda weird the way the Maxim and Venom seem to compare to each other? Like…I dunno. It just seems really weird to me that the Venom is the full-auto blaster, and not the Maxim; even though the latter’s design is *far* more suited to a full-auto setup. Ah well…not really an issue in the grand scheme of things. Either way, I’m at least mildly interested in seeing where Dart Zone (and by extension, Adventure Force) goes from here.

I'd love to masterkey this and run it in HVZ, but it's just a bit too spicy, even on a 2S. All the HVZs near me are 120 fps, and I want to be a bit under that, so I have a bit of a buffer. If someone figures out how to get it down to around 110-115 fps reliably, I'd pick this up in a heartbeat, my current HVZ primary's real bulky, and getting a bit old, and I want to try mixing it up a bit. Like, a Hail-fire rifle is really cool, and I don't need to carry extra mags on a tac vest, bit god is it bulky
