Looks Good. Are you in Florida ? That shot from Publix looks familiar. It you plan on keeping that basket you should junk all that hardware and go get all new in stainless steel and some locktite.. The bottom legs of the basket looks like its rubbing in the bottom of your fork legs so space those out more or put black tape around the legs.

Thanks! yeah I'm in Port Charlotte Florida. I was thinking of some aluminum spacers, might try to get some made just the right size. Currently it's not touching, I can slide a piece of paper in between there. Although I wonder if under some load if it could start rubbing.

Nice video man. I saw in the comments you got a 20mm bolt. Was it a M5 screw? I’ve run into the same situation. Thanks

Can you mount the basket lower on your bike? Are the legs adjustable?
@BruceChastain4 жыл бұрын
I thought it would look better a bit lower too. But at least with the hardware provided you can't have it lower, the legs are not adjustable and the mounts on the bars are fixed.

@@BruceChastain I think this basket now includes adjustable legs.

Hi RF, sorry I missed this one! But actually I'm not sure, I'm out of state until August. I'll take a look and post back when I get back.

do you know what the max load is ? thanks
@BruceChastain4 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry I don't know that. I did quickly check on their website but didn't see anything. Which is weird because I thought I did read it somewhere before. Anyway. I have loaded maybe up to 25lbs before, but it's not too fun with that much weight.

You assembled it wrong. The two small holes down by the front tire the small hole is for the skier that goes through your rim you didn't need to put the extra screws the big hole is for a regular wheel axle
@BruceChastain2 жыл бұрын
yes I did see that in the instructions, but the way the dropout was I believe I would still needed to use some spacer, and I didn't want to have the spacers on the axle, because then I'd have to fool with that when taking off the wheel.
@robertpessin54582 жыл бұрын
@@BruceChastain I went out and bought the same one. I needed extra room I've got a rack in the back I wanted to have some things accessible up front while I'm riding. So I did run into the problem when I put my skier in it wasn't long enough I couldn't put the nut on the end so I ended up having to go to the hardware store and buy bolts like you did and I use the same front fork holes as you did good job I'm glad I watched yours I would have never figured it out LOL thank you

It's better during the winter, for sure. I like the wide shoulder that most roads have. There is a little less people up here in the Panhandle, and the state has been building more bike lanes and paths.
