Glad to see another upload from you, brother! The retro vibes on this one were on another level 🤙 I haven’t seen Cobra myself but I’ve been wanting to go watch some of these classics from that era lol. I started with the original Blade Runner and Enter the Dragon (okay that one was 70s but yeah). Both fantastic! As far as the oil goes, I pretty much use the super lube grease for everything nowadays, with great results, but if I were to get oil again, this certainly looks like a decent option. The thick one would be a must for me!
@BadaBingPictures9 ай бұрын
Hi mate, Great to see you in the comments once again. Thanks! Cobra is a good old 80’s flick. Back when everyone was frightened of knife wielding maniacs, gangs and devil worshipers. Blade Runner is phenomenal!!

COBRA is one of the reasons why I carried a 9mm 1911 for my CCW gun for a long while but now I carry a Glock 17 because I wanted more capacity in my pistol. I kinda miss my 1911 now but I'm thinking about building a clone of what COBRA used.
@BadaBingPictures9 ай бұрын
I’m not a 1911 fan. Quite the opposite in fact..I got this particular model as part of a set. It is growing on me though. Stallone helped make it look cool in my eyes. Haha. Can’t argue with your choice for the Glock 17. A full frame handgun must be awkward to carry, no?
@HUNK19989 ай бұрын
@@BadaBingPictures No it's actually not bad to carry at all then again I'm 6'4 and 330 pounds of man so most handguns are small for my hands.

I've seen Cobra, because I have a 6 star vote on it on IMDb, but I honestly don't remember it. Most likely I've seen it during the university years, so a really long time ago. I was a different person back then, I would probably enjoy it more these days.

there is a debate about the silicone free lube are better because they don't glue up together, any ideas on both?

What make is that 1911? I'm guessing WA as you said plastic and it looks amazing,
@BadaBingPictures6 ай бұрын
Correct. It’s a WA. It’s actually the Leon the Professional ‘Mathilda’ 1911, it was standing in for the Cobra’s 1911 variant (which I do not own).

@@BadaBingPictures gorgeous piece, WA may be out of fashion but they sill build the most beautiful pistls, especially 1911's.😎
@BadaBingPictures6 ай бұрын
@@crewgadjy Thanks…it came with the Beretta 😉 It’s like they’ve become a recluse. There was a steady chain of WA’s in EU/UK and over the last 10 years it seems they’ve dried out. But they’re still going in Japan. The quality is great!

@@BadaBingPictures TM releasing there 1911 was the beginning of th end for WA. The aftermarket switched to TM instead of WA. Then all the knock offs made out of pot metal arrived. Most people ust SE the high cost and that there mad eof plastic and aren't interested. They just don't know how well made and they are. I must have owned over a few dozen of them over the years. Sadly my last 1 and a half Infinities are about to go to a collector in the US. I have one MGC 1911 ( even older than WA ) left which uses WA Magna Mags.
@BadaBingPictures6 ай бұрын
@@crewgadjy Such a pity. I see those MGC’s advertised on Japanese auction sites all the time. Would you say it’s worth picking one up? For collection purposes specifically.

I saw Cobra. Like most Stallone movies I have somehow wound up watching, the less I say about it the better. I liked watching him drink raw eggs in his breakfast drink or whatever in his first Rocky movie though. Even tried it myself. A few times> Oh yes, the twang from a M16/15, M4, GAU etc. I remember when I first fired an M16 in the military hearing and feeling that distracting sound. It reminded me of a cheap BB gun I had as a boy. I was surprised to find it reproduced on my TM M4, a bit of realism I did not need. Anything to reduce that is a help.
@BadaBingPictures9 ай бұрын
I don’t understand how people hate it so much. I don’t tend to notice the twang. I’m far more concerned about what I’m shooting at tbh haha Is it like those people that chew really loudly? And you can hear their teeth knock together. Those are the worst.

Cobra is one of my favourite 80s movie...although I much prefer the first half of the movie compared to the second half. Always been a sucker for the "big city" vibes! Although, there's something that I never understood about the movie: The scene in which Cobretti stole the parking spot of the mexican guys, then rips off the shirt one of them is wearing.... I mean, It's was kinda uncalled for! Is there something I'm missing?
@BadaBingPictures9 ай бұрын
Yes! The 2nd half of Cobra was a little anticlimactic, if I remember correctly. They were doing so well up to that point. He should have done a sequel. And Tango and Cash. They should have made a second one. And yes. It was a little weird for Stallone to viciously undress that man. You can’t do that these days, I tell ya!

@@kakuwave amount of people with no lube from box fresh gbbs i see on game days , i use tecsav on all my gbbs it seems to work really well
@sogerc19 ай бұрын
@@kakuwave PTFE is ... problematic. As a dry lube it works fine but because it's dry you don't know when it's gone and you're down to bare metal. As a grease it gunks up in the cold and loses it's lubricating properties. I didn't know PTFE oil existed so I'm not sure about that but probably similar to the grease. But if you don't play during the winter period, you're fine. I also use a 3 tier lube system, but only the thin and medium is silicone, the thick is mos2.
